Shop Till You Drop! Yeah. I know you're not supposed to shop online using company resources. But, if you're going to do it, you may as well save some money.

It's all about me!

I know, everything is always about me, ... but usually not clothes shopping. My fervor has been saved for the boys the last few years.

Truth is, since I gained an extra 20 pounds, I've been frumping around, unwilling to spend real money on clothes for myself. That would two years ago now (hrrumph, coinciding with my joining Epinions ).... and really, I look like hell most days.

If I buy clothes, I buy long tall dresses from Eddie Bauer. I've got some nice ones for winter, but I've got nothing decent for Spring/Summer at all. My tax refund was more than I was expecting and I'm thinking, dammit, clothe yourself woman.

I went over to Eddie Bauer and saw nothing I liked that was of any value. (Their clothing is not outrageously well contstructed. If I buy a $70 dress for $29.99, I'm satisfied. I'd not be happy if I paid full price.)

I went to J Jill and Coldwater Creek and got sticker shock. I used to spend hundreds with them at a time, but that seems long ago and far away.

Thoughts? I'm about a size 14, 5' 10". I like long and funky and artsy.

Andrea

Darn Andrea. I was just at the Eddie Bauer Outlet store last night. I could have taken a wish list with me.

Wanna come out this way and go shopping? The Outlet Mall is only 60 miles from here. We can walk it.

Hey!

This is not fun. I just gave myself permission to spend money and I'm not enjoying myself.

Everything I click on that I like (I've been through all of Spiegel now, too)...is DRY CLEAN. I am not dry cleaning anything! Not only does it cost a fortune, but the dry cleaning piles up. (No Dryel for me. Tried it. Didn't enjoy it. Won't buy dry clean stuff.)

Didn't dry clean only stuff go out a few years ago?

Andrea
thinking the mall might be better than this, just kidding!

I quit. Two hours later and I quit.

I stopped even caring how much I was spending and still couldn't find what I wanted.

Clap! Nordstroms!!!!!

Ha, Ha! Winners never quit and quitters never win!

I went to Nordstroms and I hit the mother load!

Wow, what a sale on stuff I wanted. I had to just pick 4 things. It was hard... I had about 20 in my cart at one time.

Here's my favorite:

I'm in

Here's my best deal:

Was $68.00, now $33.90

I looked at Nordstroms and saw the regular prices were sky high so I left. Sorry I didn't say something sooner.

Amy, I thought of Nordstroms hours ago, but after getting sticker shock at Coldwater Creek and J Jill, I didn't want to depress myself anymore with a trip to Nordstroms.

Went to Banana Republic and nearly slit my wrists.

After that, I was just going to make due with Eddie Bauer and went back, but everything I put in the cart was out of stock in my size.

Finally, I gave Nordstroms a drive by.

You missed the coldwater creek %30 off of everything coupon that was out a short while back. Would that have helped?

Honestly, I liked the dresses at Nordstroms better....although the next time there is a Coldwater Creek 30 percent off coupon, I'm in. There are a couple jackets I'd kill for.

Is that jacket to die for or what.

And if I paid $119 for a jacket, I'd die at Don's hands.

Have you checked out...........

Victorias Secret? Don't panic on me....sometimes they have some GREAT deals in clearance and if you apply for a VS Angel card you get this nifty little coupon book with a value a month for 6 months.........mine have been a free pair of $20 bikini briefs...(as if I'd EVER pay that originally...but HEY! If they want to GIVE them to me! hehehe!), a $45.00 bra for $19 and so on......PLUS I received a coupon last month for a free pair of thier BODY BY VICTORIA briefs....another $20 value.........it may not be Wal MArt but I can attest to the fact that their stuff usually fits and FEELS a lot better than their cheaper cousins.......PLUS.....don't we deserve a little something SPECIAL once in awhile!?!
Take care....and HAPPY SHOPPING!!!!!!!

I have not received my Nordstrom's order yet.

I am not happy. Don't they know who they are dealing with here???? The scourge of an online CL may be upon them.

Andrea
off to check how order status on Nordstrom's works

They are still in my shopping cart!

Only two of them are gone and the price is up on the other two.

What am I stupid??

C'mon I know how to shop online, for crying out loud. I know I checked out!

That's it. I quit.

I'm letting it go, believe it or not.

Don and I had already had a bit of uh, um, to do about me and the credit cards of late. (The tax refund I'm trying to spend here hasn't exactly arrived yet. )

Maybe it was a sign from God, a divine intervention, an answer to Don's plea.

Feh.

Andrea
I'll be back. I have not yet begun to shop!!!!
