I would call the 800 number I listed in this thread and talk to a representitive. Get their name and the time you called. Say that you've been charged for something that was not delivered, and this is unacceptable. Ask to cxl the order and demand a refund.
If that doesn't work, I'd ask your credit company what to do. Luckily, I didn;t have to go that far. |
I think they may be more helpful because of the coupon fiasco.
I called the 800 number and was told I could be refunded the cost of the product minus shipping (which seems to be their big scam). Since I refused to accept that offer, they haven't been very helpful at all. If you read other reviews of the site at other web pages besides epinions, this seems to be a common problem.
I still can't see how they can even attempt to not refund me shipping (it' ok if that's the policy and I return something), but it never shipped so how they can even begin to justify not giving me back all my money for something they shouldn't have charged me for in the first place is crazy.
I called the bank and they are suppose to call me back about it.
Plus, I have a question. I'm sure that once a back-ordered item does not ship within a certain time, aren't you suppose to be given the right to continue waiting or cancel the order? I know with both Chadwicks of Boston, Disney Store and Victoria's secret when I order online and the item is out of stock and doesn't ship by the date they give me, I always get a postcard in the mail asking me to check and box and say if I want to continue waiting or just cancel the order. Maybe that's not a standard practice.
