Sigh. I helped a lot of you become Pinecone members.

I was a Pinecone member myself. Then I noticed the surveys stopped coming. And I realized my log in didn't work anymore.

I'm no longer a member of Pinecone

So I wrote to them. This was my reply:

MARGARET,

Thank you for contacting PineCone Research. In investigating your situation,
we discovered a technical glitch on our end that resulted in your membership
being discontinued. Due to the nature of the glitch, we are unable to
restart your existing membership. We appreciate the interest you've shown
and surveys completed while part of our panel. I do hope you will favorably
consider any future market research opportunities should they come your
way.
Should you happen upon one of the PineCone Research banner ads in the
future, please feel free to signup with us again.

amy once said that the non-premium version of this board displayed pincone ads. So I took off the premium membership for a while but never saw a pinecone ad....I want one too

Zach, I've done worse things for money.

Ask me about my last job sometime, and how many times they screwed me over. Make sure you give me about two hours... I get a little caught up in my residual anger.

Anyway, five dollars a survey is nice. It almost justified the fact that I eat lunch out every day cause I'm lazy

The kicker here is that if you tell someone how to find pinecone, your membership is revoked if pinecone finds out. Be careful where you share!

The trick is to do it without pinecone knowing you shared the info.

Zach, it's a check for five bucks every time you complete one survey. They usually send the money out before you've even taken the survey.

Well, I found it before that actually, but I haven't heard from them.

So, someone tipped me off that it was here. I went changed from premium styles sheet (add free) to the regular one, and browsed and reloaded and reloaded and reloaded. I finally got a banner and tried AGAIN, and once again I haven't heard anything from them. I will try the uproar one. Thanks for alerting me!

I have been a member, and was getting regular surveys from them. Then I got an email that they wanted to test my system for video displays. I chose not to go through with the test, mainly because I wasn't sure of what they would attach too. The email said that if you didn't allow the system test, it would not affect your standing to complete surveys. Consequently, I haven't heard from them since.

Maybe I got booted too.

Whose mouse arrow stopped working half way through and caused me to make an error...had to email them about it and they were SO nice. AOL sucks....it always makes the mouse arrow disabppear after awhile on line.

I signed up a long time ago from a link here. I think it was in the Cafe (before we had the shopping forum to tell you how long ago) Never got a survey. Not one.

Signed up, got my first survey within a day, and got my first check about 5 days later. Wow! I'm impressed!
