Shop Till You Drop! Yeah. I know you're not supposed to shop online using company resources. But, if you're going to do it, you may as well save some money.

Anyone order with Amazon lately?

...like... in the last 24 hours?

I've been trying for about that long, and I'm ready to tell them to go... do something.

Every time I go to my shopping cart, I try to check out and then get a "We're sorry" note, saying that there is a bug that they have been made aware of and they are working dilligently to fix. Horse Pucky. It should have been fixed a long time ago. If I was a normal customer I would have given up on them a long time ago.

I think their good deal alert people think I'm getting too good of a deal. I have a rice and vegetable steamer in my shopping cart that I should be buying for $2 something shipped.

I'm really only getting the good deal because I've gotten a lot of online gift certificates for Amazon lately.

So have any of you successfully shopped Amazon very recently? And did you use any gift certificates?

Is Amazon only giving ME a hard time?

I haven't ordered in the last week....but I've never had a problem with their technology.

Wonder what is up?

Ok, we're getting close to 48 hours now that I have not been able to order!

GRRRR!!!

I shot off an email around three this morning. Six hours later, no response. They claim to be available 24 hours, but I should have liked at least a canned letter by now telling me they would look into things.

Too bad I can't take the gcs out now. I'd like to, and then sign in as another customer to see if that would work.

I want my steamer!!! I almost bought one at Kohl's yesterday. I guess I should have.

Sigh. Still no luck. I even tried turning on my cookies for them, and even that didn't work.

Still no email from them either.

Amazon sucks.

That sounds very unusual for a site like Amazon. Do keep us informed.

Amazon is one of the most reliable sites I have ever used. Keep up hope. Keep in mind that it is the weekend. Wait until Monday.

I still can't order

My account is in good standing, they claim the item is in stock, and no matter what browser I use, I can't buy the damn steamer I want.

I wrote to customer service. They did finally write back, but were no help. I wrote them again, trying to be more specific about my problem.

Their reply? "We'll investigate." In the mean time, I am encouraged to shop with Amazon.com.

Sigh. I know that others aren't having this problem. I'm tempted to start a new account, but I'd have to pay real money for my stuff then, rather than use my gift certs. And I don't want to pay real money.

Amazon sucks

Welp, I kept emailing Amazon and eventually they stopped responding. They never gave me any real answers, or told me how to make my order go through. THen they stopped responding all together.

I gave up on Amazon for a few weeks, and just went back tonight.

The strange thing is that it asked me which shipping address I wanted to use. Both were the same (?). Then it took me to my total. $0. An Amazon person must have gone into my account and straightened it all out.

Whatever they did, it finally worked. Shrug.

I just wish that they had let me know back when they fixed it that it was fixed. Grr!

Does this kind of stuff annoy anyone else?

Quote:
margaret, you have the camera. Are you taking full advantage of it? Let us help.
Clicking on the link takes me to magazines about photography.

I bought a camera. Once.

I bought Palm accessories.

I bought some cds.

Every friggin' time I sign on, I see Palm stuff, camera stuff, and cds by same artists as CDs I've bought in the past.

I've bought about a million different things from Amazon over the years. Housewares, electronics, media, even clothing.

Their marketing is over the top. I really hate how narrowly they focus their stuff. It's like big brother is creating a site for me to BUY! BUY! BUY!

I don't mind buying, and I realize that's what they are there for, but... well, I'd be more likely to buy if they showed me different items of a more ecclectic nature each time I logged in.

Oooh Amazon. I always expect them to be the best, and they always drive me crazy.
