| Shop Till You Drop! Yeah. I know you're not supposed to shop online using company resources. But, if you're going to do it, you may as well save some money. | |

| | I use it. I get a "big fat check" roughly three times a year. I think you need to earn more than $5 a month in order to get a check. You don't request a check, it just comes automatically if you've earned enough money. |

| | They pay quarterly and require $5 for payout.
Basically Zach you sign up for an account and then they give you back whatever percentage they promised as a rebate when you shop through their links. You can also refer others and get a percentage of their purchases back too. It's great - I've gotten something like $70 back over time from purchases I would have made anyway.

| | Yeah, well they'd better work harder at getting the old things right first. My daughter needed a text for a summer college class, waited until the last moment like always, and I ordered the book. I had enough purchased...a book for her, a book for me, a video tape for my class and a new skillet (don't ask)...so I qualified for free shipping. But then it said it would add on a week or more to the shipping date. So I took off the skillet (didn't really need it) and went for regular shipping. It was to ship in three to five days. Five days go by and NOTHING. So then I get an email after more than a week...like a seven day week....saying that they removed my order because they hadn't been paid. I paid by credit card, it had gone through when I ordered and they had never even emailed to find out what the problem was. It wasn't a credit problem because I'm no where near the limit. So here she is with a paper due and no book. I could not find an email address or a telephone number so just filled in anything close and complained loudly! I got back an email saying that was the wrong place to email them just use the site form. Went back and still couldn't find this mysterious form. So found something close ...where users rate the service and it shows for others to read (insert sneer here) and commented again.
My daughter really needs the book so I go back and pay $11.95 for the book and $14.95 for overnight shipping. Today I get an apology email about the previous problem (by the way the date was wrong on my credit card although I punched in the correct date it must not have taken correctly). Today, after paying $14.95, NO FRIGGIN BOOK!!!!
I am not happy with Amazon.com

| | I think that Amazon became a player by offering low prices. I bought quite a bit from them around 1998 or so...
Then at some point they just stopped. B&N's prices were better, and, later on, a number of other online stores' prices were better.
I think I've only bought from Amazon once in the past year, and then when I had a $5 online coupon from Discover Card.
I think this is a move they've needed to take.
I am waiting for a $17 or so check from ebates as we speak (they mail out quarterly on 8/15, 11/15, 2/15, and 5/15, roughly.) Ebates is great.
Just link through to your online store through them, and the rebate will be credited automatically. |

| | I did put in the correct date. I did not make sure that the colored date turned white before I pressed continue, so the date slipped into the previous year.
And that mistake was with the first order with regular shipping.
The Fourteen dollars shipping that I paid for an Eleven dollar book was the SECOND order to them for over night shipping. That order was placed Wednesday, August 21....today was August 23, Friday. I believe that the definition of overnight means overnight not overweek.

Wondering why she paid $14.95 for what amounts to regular shipping |

If you read the small print you would find out that overnight only applies to the mail carrier. If they wait 3 days to ship it then it will take 3 days + 1 day. This equals 4 days. If you don't normally order too much online then I would understand, but if you do then you should have known this by now. Patience is a virtue. |

That is terrible! I don't think I have ever lost a package. At least you could write a review about your experience. | | |
