Shop Till You Drop! Yeah. I know you're not supposed to shop online using company resources. But, if you're going to do it, you may as well save some money.

Clap! Coupons you can use for holiday shopping

I figured that a bunch of EA folks might be interested in a thread that has coupons that can be used for holiday shopping. (Not everybody here is quite the Veteran Shopper that some of us are.)

I'll start off:

GAP
Free shipping, $75 and more.
Good through 12/1/02

OCTBBACK

If anybody needs help shopping, or finding deals for merchants they'd like to shop with, feel free to ask! There's a bunch of folks here who love to shop, especially when we don't have to pay the credit card bill.

Don't buy anything from anybody without a coupon until you've asked, you hear me!

The Children's Place
http://www.childrensplace.com

Coupon is either for free standard shipping or $15 off AND free standard shipping. Sorry, I'm taking it from a print coupon which can be used in a physical store too, and they are vague about what the web offer is.

Here's the code:

HOLIDAYM112

with $75 purchase

Allow me to simplify this a bit.

Any coupon you are looking for (just about) can be found at one of these sites:

www.naughtycodes.com (they usually even have the "forbidden" Amazon codes that other sites won't publish)

www.currentcodes.com (they are my favorite, unless I am looking for Amazon codes)

www.styleforfree.com (they have good coupons, and you can get great gift ideas from their styledex and other sections on the site)

So, if you are about to buy something, and don't want to wait for one of us to find you a coupon, go to these sites!

Book mark them. You'll need them in the next month and a half, I promise.

At the moment it's not a problem because Amazon doesn't have any MAP codes (the $5 off $35 ones).

The thing is that these benevolent sites that offer us coupon codes, as well as bbs (such as mycoupons) are almost always Amazon affiliates. So, if you click through their links and buy, they make money. Those MAP codes are supposed to only go out to certain people, and Amazon saw a large percentage of their customers using them. They threatened to take away the affiliate status of any site that gave the MAP codes out.

So, that's when naughty codes came on the scene. Now, I'm not sure why naughty codes doesn't have any MAP codes at the moment. Did Amazon stop using them? Or, did naughty codes give in to pressure from Amazon?

The dastardly Amazon!

Trying to control its marketing promotions! Attempting to stimulate sales and track the results of their marketing to segments!

Corporate pigs, pigs i say! THE CODES BELONG TO THE PEOPLE!

Sorry. I have a split personality. Marketer by day, rabid consumer 24/7.

I knew about Current Codes, but not the other two.

I also check www.dealcatcher.com

And how about those online rebates?

www.ebates.com

www.spree.com

www.bigcoop.com

I've used all three, but I only use Spree or Big Coop if Ebates doesn't offer rebates for that manufacturer.

BTW, www.giftcertificates.com is signed up for 4% rebates with Ebates again, so you can even get rebates on gift certificates (or get yourself some gift certificates for Old Navy, let's say, and then go to their bricks and mortar store and use them to purchase things for 4% less.)
