| | Need help with ideas and coupons | | Hey shoppers!
I need help with ideas and prices.
Next month I'll be going to our factory in Bangkok. I was there once before and met a lot of the women in the office. They were all very nice to me, but very shy around the caucasion executive. When I go back, I want to bring some little gifts for them. I probably need about 20 gifts - I don't have a real number, and I rather have too much than too few. I though that a small body lotion or something like that might be good. Something personal, but generic.
So - first question - can anyone come up with a better idea than lotion?
Second question - can anyone find me a great deal.
I appreciate whatever help I can get! |

| | Lotion might be good as would perfume.
What about something "American" Somthing special from Florida?
Blueberry jelly was a good gift I sent back to Taiwan and folks loved it cause they couldn't get it there.
Have a good trip. |

| | They can't get blueberry jam in Taiwan? Who knew! Originally I wanted something more "American", but I couldn't think of anything. For Florida I think of fruit, but fruit is something that I always look forwards to eating in Thailand - they have the most wonderful, exotic fruits there! Don't know if they have blueberries though? How would I find that out? |

| | Whatever it is, it will have to be small so that I can carry it. I believe with the new security procedures, food must be taken in carry on bags, and you're not allowed to take fresh fruit into the country. Jam would be ok. I'll have to search the web and see if they have blueberries in Thailand. I work near a fruit grove store - never been in there though. Maybe I can stop by and see if they have something small and very "Florida". |

| | Here are a few ideas that might help. Have fun on your trip!
******************
These travel tin candles in 55 flavors are really nice. They run $6 each though, so that would get expensive for a group. You get 10 free votives for a $20 or up order for first time buyers with code dod-cpc10 http://www.courliepotterycandles.com/traveltins.html
******************
Mini note pads from Oriental Trading Company are cute. Some are football etc. but most are things like flowers. $4.95 per 4 doz. OTC has a lot of small items that are sold in bulk. http://www.oriental.com/webapp/comme...ispAll=&CASE=0
********************
At Yves Rocher http://www.yvesrocherusa.com/shop_app/app_US/jms.jsp
For $3.95 each (saving over $2 each), you can get a bubble bath with scrubbie or look down lower on the page and buy the mini perfumes in really neat bottles in sets of five to split up for $9.95.

Another idea is to go to the Dollar Store at the mall. They have really nice magnets for $1 each. |

| | Potourri with pretty boxes. $2 http://www.sephora.com/browse/produc...dPaginate=true
The shower gells are cute. $2 down from $12 http://www.sephora.com/checkout/cart...questid=145113
If the links don’t get you there, try www.sephora.com and select Sephora Collection from brand pull down. Then put "original price" in the search box.
They have a body lotion for $2 also, and this is nice stuff.
There are a lot of good deals here. They will go fast though, so if you are interested in these, you’ll need to order fast. I’m already hot on this on and ordering now (-:
I shop too much online. Glad to get a chance to share some of the finds this time (-:
Oh yes . . . some of the women here might like the lipstick. http://www.sephora.com/browse/produc...dPaginate=true
It’s $5 something on sale, but it has a mirror on the side. Really neat looking. |

| | I know you liked the Avon.com site when you visited it. They have lots of little gift items that are reasonably priced.
The Naturals collection of body sprays, foam baths, body lotions and shower gels are on sale right now, and they come in a huge variety of fragrances. Look under specials, bath and body.
And you can usually find online coupons, ebates, shipping specials, etc.
How thoughtful of you to bring gifts to an entire office! |

| | Yeah! More great ideas!
Thanks!
I like some of the Sephora stuff, and Fraz - Avon does have some great deals! The Naturals Shower Gell is only $2.99, and there are lots of scents to choose from! That might work! I know that I love the Avon lip gloss that I bought - that's on sale too, and it would be easier to carry (smaller), but I'm not sure if lip gloss is as good a gift. I wouldn't know which shades to choose.
How do I go about finding coupons (usually I just PM the Duck, but there is probably a better way - well, better for the Duck anyway ) |

| | My coupon stomping ground . . . www.dealofday.com
If you want to go hard core and sort out the ones that might get you in trouble, then . . . www.fatwallet.com and go to FORUMS
For a nice list by store www.flamingoworld.com and search by store. |

| | Oh yes . . . on Yves Rocher . . .
Use SWEETHEART15 (all caps) for 15 percent off after going through Ebates for 10 percent off.
You can get free gifts for ordering (pick from 3--I got the candle) and then free coffee mugs for the $25 order. Bump to $40 for free fruit scented set.
Shipping is free too!
This is the one with the bath stuff with washie or the perfume and divide by bottles. When you factor in the discouts and free shipping and the free gifts, this one really rocks.
A lot of the 50 percent off stuff does not show up until you sign up and sign in. Run it with that (and you can clear cookies if you don't like the deal). Almost everything I bought hit half off.
ONe thing about YR is that you can't find all the stuff. Put in shampoo or conditioner and you'll get some items that you can use every day that may not come up under clicks. |

Talk about treating yourself and doing something nice for others at the same time! Also if you go onto the Bath and Bodyworks site and register for their newletter you will get an instant coupon for some of their aromatherapy line value up to $15....FREE! The lavendar one is great for relaxation and the orange one is nice for energizing.....another extra special gift JUST FOR YOU! just some ideas..........
Good luck!
Susan
P.S. there are some great deals at the store right now, they are currently changing labels on their products so they are clearancing out the old label stuff............I forgot to tell you but I got 3 regular sized bottles/tubes of lotion and gel for $10........thats app. $3.50 each.....pretty nice price for LARGE size bottles!!!! Also....if you tell them what you are buying the stuff for, I wouldn't be surprised if they give you a discount....I heard the girls at our store the other day give an extra discount to a woman who was buying some stuff to send to soldiers overseas! |

| | Thanks, Susan. I actually have a gift certificate and looked there a while back. They only had larger sizes, and it was a bit too much to carry. I'll have to go back and check now. If they are offering great deals - it may be too good to refuse! | | |
