Check page 18 of your Best Buy circular in today's (Sunday) paper. This is the best hard drive on the market today, it is absolutely huge, and $180 (after MIR) is seventy dollars less than the best online price at Pricewatch.

Best Buy also has the 2003 Norton Internet Security package (Norton Firewall and Anti-Virus) for $29.99 after MIR, and you also get your choice of any DVD in stock up to $20.

Comp USA had an excellent deal like this about 1 month ago.

We got one, mailed the rebate to Western Digital on 2-18-03, and we are still waiting.

Good luck to you mailing in the rebate. I hope they speed up the process a little bit!

I just wanted to let you know, for those that might have jumped on this offer, I just received my rebate for the WD hard drive.

FYI, in case you are waiting, it took from 2/18/03 when I mailed the rebate until 5/13/03 to receive the rebate check.

It takes a while, but you will receive the rebate.

I got this the last time BestBuy offered it, at the same price. I got my rebate. I love the drive. LOVE it. It came with its own PCI card to assure speedy access, and assure that you can reference the entire drive. Installation was simple for me (I am somewhat accustomed to the insides of computers, and have decent computer learning-on-the-fly skills, but not huge with the Windows experience).

The extra space has allowed me to do all sorts of things, like play with video. It goes well with a DVD burner, which also can be had for similar prices if you know where to look for a rebate.
