Shop Till You Drop! Yeah. I know you're not supposed to shop online using company resources. But, if you're going to do it, you may as well save some money.

Shopping Challenge -- Flabby Belly

Who doesn't suffer from this one? (If you don't, don't tell me. I don't want to know!)

Shirts

Bad

Too Short and/or Too Tight

Good

Tight on Breasts, Loose on Waist

Ruched Top

Wrap Top

Why:

Too short and too tight makes your belly into one large roll that's hanging out. Yech.

Tight over breasts, loose over waist -- draws attention to the breasts and keeps the cling away from the belly.

Ruched top -- no one will know if it is the fabric, or your flab making the waves

Wrap top -- the ties are usually higher than the flabby part of the belly, but are below the breast. It makes it easy to give the illusion of a cinched waist.

Re: Shopping Challenge -- Flabby Belly

I'm growing tired. I'll edit this to make it more slick at another point

Skirts

Bad

Gathered Waist

Straight-cut skirt

Good

Sarong

Ruched front

Why:

Gathered waist draws bunches up right where you don't want it to.

A straight skirt will hug your curves a little too much, and, is not fitted to come in in the right spots.

A sarong is good because it ties right in the problem area, and covers it up.

The ruched front skirt will make it hard to tell which wave is you and what is the skirt. Fools the eye!

Pants

Bad:

Too tight/ Jean cut

Hip-Huggers

Good:

Flat front with side zip

Low-waisted jeans sized one sized too big

Why:

Too tight and jean cut pants tend to cut one off at the belly. There's a pizza dough flap that can form over top of these types of pants.

The hipsters let this flap free too. Not good.

The flat front side zip pants keep everything where it belongs and doesn't put anything "extra" where there is already enough going on.

The hipsters one size too big have a chance of staying on the belly. That's why they can be ok.
