Shop Till You Drop! Yeah. I know you're not supposed to shop online using company resources. But, if you're going to do it, you may as well save some money.

musical Instruments

Sam's club has musical instruments!

I was surprised. I remember when I played the clarinet/bass clarinet in school eons ago, and the cost was over $300 for a decent instrument.

I am not sure of the quality of Sam's instruments, but they are running about $175.

In our local store, they had clarinets, trumpets and flutes to choose from. Their website has more items to choose from in the Simba line.

So does our local Walmart, they were located up front near the checkout stations.

Re: musical Instruments

I noticed them today at Walmart, too! Don't know much about their quality though - was in a hurry to the little girl's room and forgot to look at them when I came back out.

Re: musical Instruments

I spotted them in Costco yesterday. $174 there too. I was much more tempted by the $899 digital piano that was right next to it.

Re: musical Instruments

I told Don to be on the look out, thanks.

Our not-terribly-musically-inclined (but plugging away) children just had a huge increase on their instrument rental costs.

You hate to buy a $500 instrument, and you hate to pay high rental fees. These prices sound in line.

Don's job is to look through Sam's Club on his weekly trip. Thanks!

Andrea

Re: musical Instruments

Apparently they haven't made it here yet. Was at Sam's Club today and no musical instruments anywhere. They did have a pretty neat go-cart, though.

Well, Don swears they aren't in South Jersey yet either.

Re: musical Instruments

When my kids were in elementary school, one of the moms bought her son's trumpet at JCPenney--maybe the catalog, I don't remember. All I remember is that it was cheap, and she was thrilled. The teacher on the other hand, spent the better part of the class period trying to get the darn thing in tune, because the rest of the group was off because of it. I remember the teachers tearing her hair out.

Good deal, but it might be a good idea to have the music teacher ok it.
