Shop Till You Drop! Yeah. I know you're not supposed to shop online using company resources. But, if you're going to do it, you may as well save some money.

What would you like for Christmas?

So, since I'm starting to get spastic about Xmas, I decided to ask ya'll what you want for Christmas.

Chances are great that you won't get what you want -- at least, not from me.

It just will help me to think of gifts I might not have though of otherwise.

Totally self-serving.

And you can steal ideas for others here too!!!

If you are not ready to think about Christmas, come back when you are ready and post your wishes.

If you don't celebrate Christmas, substitute it with Hanukkah, Kwanza, or any other holiday that floats your boat.

Re: What would you like for Christmas?

I figured I'd start us off with a few from my Amazon wishlist.

Most Famous Opera Arias (CD)

I've been singing arias a lot lately... they just keep popping into my head. A lot of them are on this one collection.

The #1 Opera Album (CD)

More songs stuck in my head...

The Kings Singers -- Chansons D'Amour (CD)

I absolutely the Kings Singers. Love, love, love!!!

Liars and Saints (book)

In Style Magazine Subscription

There are a few more things on there. I'm pretty boring so far.

How about you? Anything you know you want already???

Re: What would you like for Christmas?

My tastes aren't that exotic, either, and usually run to books and DVDs (we recently got a DVD player), with a few odd kitchen appliances thrown in:

LOTR: The Two Towers DVD, extended version

Pride and Prejudice DVD
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/re...=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Salton Yogurt Maker
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/re...=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Mary, Queen of Scots and the Murder of Lord Darnley, by Alison Weir

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/re...=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Books from Terry Pratchett, Bill Bryson, and Elizabeth Peters that I don't already have yet, cartoon collections of The Far Side and Calvin and Hobbes, etc. Gift certificates to bookstores, nursery catalogs, Lowes/Home Depot... I'm very into gardening now, and would love a truckloack of compost and/or mulch as a present. Really.

Edible gifts are always cool, particularly if they contain chocolate.

Same thing as I wanted last year:

Okay, who's turn is it to call my husband and tell him?

Re: What would you like for Christmas?

There's 12 weekends until Christmas. Take your gift recipient list, divide by 12, and that's how many people you should shop for each weekend to get it done fairly painlessly (and taking advantage of sales too!).
