Shop Till You Drop! Yeah. I know you're not supposed to shop online using company resources. But, if you're going to do it, you may as well save some money.

$35 DVD player - free shipping - Circuit City

http://www.circuitcity.com/detail.js...0&catoid=-8039

It's just an inexpensive brand, but good enough if you just want/need a cheap one, I think. $34.99, free shipping, or you can pick up from the store.

This AMW DVD player can handle just about any A/V format you want to play. From DVDs to CDs, and MP3s to Kodak picture CDs, it supports both NTSC and PAL formats. It's Dolby® Digital- and DTS-ready and has both RCA composite and S-video outputs. It’s a perfect addition to your home entertainment system.
It's not "progressive scan", whatever that means.

I went through Upromise, too, and will get 2% back. There are other rewards that they are hooked up with. No coupons, though, sorry.

Normal television pictures are interlaced. The image is composed of a number of horizontal scan lines, and the electron beam in the TV draws every other line in one frame, and draws the other half of the lines in the next frame. Ordinary DVD players play back their pictures in the same way. However, some TV monitors can accept a signal which draws every line every frame. This makes for a much better picture. Progressive scan DVD players can provide such input to those monitors, while regular DVD players cannot.
