Shop Till You Drop! Yeah. I know you're not supposed to shop online using company resources. But, if you're going to do it, you may as well save some money.

Amazon selling

Has anyone used this?

They charge quite a bit to let you sell with them and give a small credit for shipping and handling.

I just listed a few items through them and they have sold, but 1 item was very heavy.

Their website even described it as being over 5 lbs. of "book".

The cost was over $9 to ship, they gave me credit of 2.26.

Does anyone have issues like this?

What did you do? Were you successful in fighting them for a little more money?

Re Amazon selling

I'm assuming you didn't send it Media Mail. I'm pretty sure that they operate like Half.com did, and only pay you for Media Mail. If you upgrade it, it's your loss.

Re Amazon selling

Parcel post & media are the 2 options and the parcel post actual cost more than the 1st class mail.

The media mail, at least where we shipped, was not available (the machine did not give us that option).

Amazon's response was to mark up the selling price if I think that shipping is going to be kind of high.

I was just curious if anyone had any experience.

Re Amazon selling

Media Mail can't be done at the self-mailing machines because they reserve the right to open the package and make sure it's actually media in there. They get grumbly.
