| | DH and I are buying new rings for when we renew our vows next month. His was stolen a couple of years ago, or we probably wouldn't bother with that. His was irreplaceable, so we're having to get something totally new. And I can't find anything he likes. He wants something that's a little bit unusual (read: not what your're going to see in EVERY store you hit) but not weird. The budget wants something under $300 each.
Anybody got any favorite jewelry shopping sites? I swear I've hit half of what's out there already.

| | And here I was thinking, when I saw Wormie's name, that her post would say, "So which one did you pick?!"

| | That site has a gagilion rings and some of gorgeous!
Melanie's DH though is hard to please.
We just got plain bands because anything fancy would have detracted from my engagement ring. |

| | CURTIS! I'd kiss you, but your fiance would probably get jealous! I think I've found the place, the page, if not the *exact* ring: http://secure.jamesavery.com/view_je...&functionId=67
That 4th from the left, top row, is a LOT like our original bands, just with more texture. The others with the black bands are reminiscent, too. And they are SO reasonable in price!
Happy Dance, Happy Dance!

| | I like that ring!
My husband never wore his ring even after promising that he would if I sprung for the expensive one. It fits me very nicely now.

| | My husband did wear his, all the time until he gained weight and couldn't. He had it tucked in my jewelry chest until we could get around to sizing it. Then it got stolen before that could happen.
I'll be so happy for him to be able to wear a ring again.

Happy Dance, Happy Dance! | Very nice. Glad to be of help.
BTW, if you're looking for something that's not a common size, it may take them awhile to make it for you. I'm still waiting on mine...

| | My husband has taken his ring off three times: the first for our big wedding (10 months after we were legally married), the second when he was putting on some sunscreen and flung it off at Six Flags (luckily, I grabbed it as it rolled away), and the third when I had it resized so we wouldn't have anymore Six Flags debacles.
I, however, have to take my wedding set off every night or I get little marks in my cheek from sleeping on my hands.

| | I can't stand to wear jewelry at home - dunno why - so mine is off at home, but I wear it when I'm out. Well, now that I can wear my wedding and engagement rings again!

| | Channeling Sally Fields -
He likes them, he likes them! He really, really likes them!
Y'all have NO idea how hard he's been to please on this issue. Our first rings were little bit unusual - they have the two black bands around them like several on that page. We'd not seen any done like that before when we were shopping the first time, and we both liked having something that was not ordinary, without being weird. (Or ridiculously expensive.) After his got stolen, we've looked off an on but have never been able to find anything that interested him. As I told Wormie, I've seen a zillion and a half rings that *I* like, but he always just goes, mmmmm, nah. Since the new rings are mostly for his sake, I want him to be happy with what we buy.
Thank you again, Curtis!

The only advice I had was where not to go.

| | The rings came yesterday after a slight shipping delay (they had trouble finding one of the sizes in the stock room) and they are GREAT! Very hefty, not thin at all. They're so smooth and comfortable, have a "cool" feel to them (that's cool as in texture, temp, etc., not fashion quality, LOL) and the sizes were perfection.
Hope yours is also worth the wait, Curtis.
