I was at the grocery picking up the makings for the salads I'm bringing to the family night tonight at the preschool and noticed a sale on Coke... buy 4 12-packs for $10 and then you send in a $10 rebate!

I'm sure this can help at least the Igo household if the same deal is available there.

And I'm running on no sleep... it should have said "Check Your Grocery Stores"

I'll have to check. We're more of a 2-liter family but free 12 packs are good!!!!

I figured free is free.

And G likes the cans and hates the 2-liters. Even thought they are more economical. And take up less room than his "fridge packs."

Mind you, I"M home all day and MY soda sits outside the fridge and gets put over ice.

I'll be checking. Honey only drinks coke in a can, and lots of it. Lets the 2 liters go flat if I buy them, so I stopped wasting the money trying to save money.

a 2-liter can't go flat in a day.

They can if honey purposely leaves the lids off for days at a time making them flat so I stop buying them because he prefers cans.

a 2-liter lasts three months at my house. (we screw the cap on really tight and keep it on its side so the soda blocks air from getting in)

I'm not being clear. That's true for most houses. Honey doesn't drink it. Any of it. He hates two liters. So he'll just open it, leave it out and keep taking the cap off if I put it back on, until it is dead dead dead. Because he wants cans. I used to fuss about it, but it just wasn't worth arguing about. Now if coke in a can isn't on sale, I tell him how much I spent on it and make him pay for it. If its on sale, I'll just buy it.

I used to like flat Coke, so I didn't mind the 2-liters. Unfortunately, flat Coke Zero is not the same. Diet soda tastes better in cans.

Even if you close those plastic PET bottles tight, the PET is not impermeable. And 2-liter PET bottles don't seem to use any of the staleness-blocking features of some other bottles. I'm trying to remember what beverage I had in a 20 oz bottle that had some special material sandwiched between the PET.

Of course, the PET ought to keep the CO2 in for months, as long as the top is on. .

I don't like 2-liters because they go flat too fast. Even after just a day or so, there's a big difference and I don't like the pop anymore. Nick will drink it no matter what, so I usually just leave the stale, flat stuff for him. He usually doesn't mind. Plus I'd rather drink it from a can or smaller bottle than a cup or glass.

Our Walgreens also had deals on Pepsi products this week...buy 4/$10 and get a rebate for a free 12 pack. Since we mainly drink Pepsi, it's a great deal for us.

And Leslie, does your guy know G? Same thing. And then I drink the flat stuff because I can't stand waste.

But we don't drink Coke. And other people don't drink Coke. So I was simply brining up an alternate, albeit not as wonderful as yours, offer.

We save a LOT of money on soda. We don't buy it or drink it.

I'll drink it on occasion. And we stock up the outside fridge for the summer so the rugrats have their pop handy.

There are usually a ton of good deals on drinks and what not for Memorial Day weekend

Some stores are also running the buy4, get1 free deal on the Coke, too. Just keep a check on your stores. This week will probably be the last week, since it's a run-up to Memorial Day.
