| | Re Vacuum Recommendations? | | I gots me a Hoover TurboPower 1500 that does the job. Got it at my wedding shower so it's 8 years old now, took it in for a new belt at one point but other than that, it's humming along just fine. Can't say I love ANY vaccuum though, 'cause I don't like vaccuuming

| | Re Vacuum Recommendations? | | Dyson. Animal. No contest. I did what my sister did when I got mine.. vacuumed with my Hoover, then went over it again with the Dyson. And nearly vomited with what the Hoover was leaving behind. |

| | Re Vacuum Recommendations? | | I think when my real vacuum dies, I might want a dyson. They're expensive, but we have 3 cats. The Roomba is great for everyday pickups of hair, dust, crumbs etc, but I still like to use a traditional vac every now and then. |

| | Re Vacuum Recommendations? | | I want a Dyson. I have a Hoover Wind Tunnel, and I don't like it. It eats belts like crazy, and although we bought it because of the HEPA filter, the filter never gets dirty enough to need cleaning. That is alarming - if it isn't in the filter, then where's the dirt? |

| | Re Vacuum Recommendations? | | I have a self-propelled Hoover and I love it! (as much as one can love a vaccuum that is It is about 8 years old though and I'm told by the vaccuum shop that the new ones aren't as good as the model I have. I've only had it repaired once....seldom replace a belt....and the self-propelled model sure makes vaccuuming easier. I have problems with the push/pull movement of the standard ones. It also cleaned through a long hair cat named Snoopy that we had (for 20 years) nicely. The only disadvantage is that it is heavy to carry when the self propelled feature is turned off (for use on bare floors) or when taking up and down stairs. |

| | Re Vacuum Recommendations? | | I think so, but hard to say. Believe it or not, the boys aren't allergic to dust. |
