| | E-Rewards--a New Good Survey-for-Pay Program | | I just joined a survey site called E-Rewards recently. You always get paid for surveys (usually about $3.00) and you even get paid if you don't qualify for a survey (now that's special--I just got paid $.50 for a survey I didn't qualify for.)
The catch is that you need be nominated by a program sponsor to join. I got my nomination from the AAdvantage Frequent Flier program. Other program sponsors are Blockbuster, Hertz, Continental One Pass, Hilton Honors, Delta SkyMiles, NWA, US Airways Dividend Miles.
In order to be nominated, you go to: e-Rewards
and request that they contact one of their sponsors to nominate you (I am assuming that you have to be a member of the frequent flier or other program of the sponsor.) You will then get your invitation in two weeks.
The E-Rewards dollars can be redeemed for frequent flier miles ($25 in E-Rewards dollars will give you 500 frequent flier miles) or other rewards and gift certificates.
The surveys are fairly compensated, and I can picture myself getting some pretty good rewards from this program. |

| | Re E-Rewards--a New Good Survey-for-Pay Program | | Really? I've found them to be pretty quick and to the point, and I've been surprised at how quickly they add up. |

| | Re E-Rewards--a New Good Survey-for-Pay Program | | They suck. The rewards are terrible (the only one I ever used was Blockbuster, and it was six free rentals at a time, BUT, you could only use one a month ). On top of THAT, the amount expires after a certain period of time, so it's nearly impossible to get something big.
The best ones are Pinecone, MySurvey, and Lightspeed. |

| | Re E-Rewards--a New Good Survey-for-Pay Program | | I'm always willing to give a new one a try, but they're saying on their website that they're not accepting new requests right now.

| | Re E-Rewards--a New Good Survey-for-Pay Program | | I get e-mails from the all the time and I just delete them.
With Pinecone I feel like I'm really giving them some input.
These are just short and dumb. |

| | Re E-Rewards--a New Good Survey-for-Pay Program | | You got sucked into that Blockbuster one, too, huh Pippa? Boy was I MADMADMAD. Our "closest" Blockbuster isn't convenient, and there was no way I was going to deliberately make a trip out there twice a week for 6 weeks. (Mine were dated for weeks.) I think I ended up giving them to our preacher, who actually lives close to the store.
I haven't used them in ages, though, so can't speak to how things are these days.

| | Re E-Rewards--a New Good Survey-for-Pay Program | | Hmmmm....I'm going to look into this a little further.
Because our extended families are far away, we can always use frequent flier miles, and I thought I'd use my points for those.
I do agree that Pinecone is the best. I wish ALL survey sites were like Pinecone. I also belong to MySurvey. I'm not sure about Lightspeed (one time I joined a survey site Magenta recommended, but as time passed it became more and more obvious I didn't fit their younger demographic profile.)
I thought this one would be good...and at this point I'll probably stick with it enough to get the 500 mile frequent flier award and then see what happens. |

Just be careful because you lose 90% of rewards you don't redeem in the same calendar year. They changed that a couple of years ago because I was sitting on $400 or so at the time. That's when the wife and I got new luggage from eBags. |

| | Re E-Rewards--a New Good Survey-for-Pay Program | | I have earned 100 dollars and could only redeem the same for some miles. The redemption offers are among the worst.
