| | Ok, so in my quest to dress like a dead person, I needed to find black pants. I really didn't care what pants, as long as the fabric was nice, didn't pick up a ton of lint, didn't look wrinkley, and I didn't have to hem them.
I went to Annie Sez, which, is a discount clothing company. Along the names of Marshall's or TJ Maxx. They sell name brands for lower than retail prices. I usually get good buys there.
So, I grabbed a pair of black pants, put them up against me to make sure they were petite "enough" but not "too petite" (that's a huge issue for me because I'm 5'3"). I didn't bother to try them on because I hate to do that more than necessary, and I already tried on a suit that day.
I took the pants home and put them on the next morning. Normally, my pants fit somewhere in between two fat rolls. This is supposedly my waist, but I can't see it. I'll have a buldge above and below the "waist" of the pants.
I put on the new pants. :O Flat belly. Cinched waist. No discomfort. WTF?
I pleased with my purchase, I ripped off the tags. I looked at them. Original price tag, Annie Sez tag... and two tags explaining where my FUPA went. The pants have a mesh in the belly that is unnoticible when you're wearing them. However, it holds everything in place, and without being uncomfortable!
I went back and bought every other pair of pants they had in my size, and bought some for my mom too.
The pants, if you want to look for them, are made by Tribal. These are similar to what I bought: Tribal Tummy-Slimming Stretch Sateen Pants - - Nordstrom.com
Good luck FUPA fighting, girls. |

| | Oh yeah, and when I first tried on the pants, I put on a black cashmere turtleneck that is quite fitted, and... WOW...
My mother saw me and said I looked like I lost 20 lbs over night! |

| | I thought you were going to be complaining about bad pants, and that they were "f-ing ugly, pain in the a**" pants.

Is it an acronym or slang or actual word? | All of the above?
All the staff at the medical office I work at knows/uses the term I hadn't heard it before High School, however. Not sure if it was a neologism of the late 1990s or if it was just when I was exposed to it.
I didn't realize my word choice would cause so much discussion. LOL.
99% of the population probably has FUPAs, so, it's nothing to get excited about. |
