| | Shopping Mavin is Stumped | | Today I watched "The Scent of a Woman" with my mother. In it, Al Pacino plays a blind man whose other senses are heightened. He is able to determine the soap a woman uses -- she used Ogilvie Sister's Soap.
When that scene was over, my mom remarked to me that we should get that soap. I thought it'd be a fun little gift to give her. Only, I can't find it
Can anyone else find it?
The closest I can come is Ogilvie home perms, or some lady whose last name is Ogilvie who starred in a Camay soap ad. |

| | Re Shopping Mavin is Stumped | | I don't think it still exists. Ogilvie Sisters had a whole fragrance line back in the late 50s, maybe into early 60s.
I'd say your best bet would be to email the folks at Vermont Country Store... if something old can be found, they are the folks who know where to find it. |

| | Re Shopping Mavin is Stumped | | It is Ogilvie Sisters soap, no apostraphe. And all over the internet, there are notices on various boards asking for a source for this soap. One link from a newspaper article states that this is available at fine soap sellers nationwide, but doesn't list any. There are three requests on ebay for 'want it now'. Sorry I couldn't help. |

| | Re Shopping Mavin is Stumped | | If you cant find the Ogilvie Sisters Soap through the Vermont Country Store, you might want to try this as a substitute: Sisters Soap Company -- they make their own handmade soaps.

| | Re Shopping Mavin is Stumped | | :o Good job ladies!!!
I look forward to hearing from the Vermont Country store! And if that falls through, maybe the Sister's Soap will be a close enough approximation. |

| | Re Shopping Mavin is Stumped | | Update: they don't sell it. However, she asked me to email her all of the links to requests for Ogilvie Sisters soap. She found that they have a long list of products, and she's going to ask the buyers to carry the soap.
It's funny, because I have terrible allergies in the morning, and had a hard time talking to her. She ended up making a sale, after she told me about some mint lozenge they sell. So, I didn't find the soap, and I did order something for myself. Do NOT ask me to call the Godiva company for any reason! |

| | Re Shopping Mavin is Stumped | | But Cindy, the Godiva in my mall is closed for renovations. No, really, it is You're in luck though, I'd be more apt to send you for Leonidas... and if I was gonna send someone for Leonidas, it'd prolly be someone in NYC because I know they have one there | | |
