Wormie, I know you said that Brian got some hella deals this morning on Black Friday.
I didn't stand in any lines. Didn't go online at 12:01. And even going to Target, I was able to score all the Doorbusters on my list. What's everyone's secret Black Friday strategy? |

I've read the online Black Friday is actually Monday.
In any case, I'm just buying for kids (Hubby's nieces and nephews), Hubby, and Hubby's parents so my life is very easy, I'll shop whenever I get around to it.

I do not shop on Black Friday.. No no, not even at the food store.
Although I did get my nails done today.

I didn't shop at all today. That's my secret. Plus, aside from a loss-leader you may want on black friday, there are no deals. Trust me. They raise prices in November so they can seem to slash them in December. In January the new prices will come out and in an act of such great benevolence, we'll reduce the prices again. Buy you Xmas presents in October, when the stores are hurting, if you want deals. |

LOL. They were the loss-leaders I wanted. Aside from the pack of disposables I needed, the ONLY things I got were the get-em-in-the-store things.
$29 off a toy Bug has been bugging me for for months was worth my trip.  |

My strategy is to sleep late and not shop.
I got most of my holiday shopping done before Thanksgiving.
Brian got a few great deals.
A DVD player
A thumb drive
Some recordable DVDs and CDs |

My DIL did the family duty by working at Macy's on Black Friday. One of the guys threatened to buy a half-price video game at Best Buy, also using a $10 coupon. Nobody else shopped. (I bought Christmas cards at Winners (think T.J. Max) but that doesn't count; this is Canada.)

My secret weapon is #2, who is determined to get this family organized. One of the things he wanted for a gift this year was to get our holiday shopping done in early November so he could wrap his stuff and not get worried by last-minute shopping. I have three or four more gifts to buy, all of which I'll get online. Did I mention that I love #2?  | |
