| | I'm looking for a shower curtain that exists in my head, and hopefully someone will read this and tell me that they saw it in XYZ store.
I want a fabric curtain, that has an ivory or ecru, or other very light and neutral color. It is sheer. It is embroidered with yellow flowers.
I bought some sheer ecru colored curtain for the time being. It has sage and slate stripes. It's too modern and masculine for me. The only other thing I can find so far that goes with the colors I already have are Palm Tree or Bamboo curtains. They are both SO not me.
I know I'm the one who is supposed to be able to find anything :p but, it's too vague to search for "shower curtain" or even to search by color... there's too many stores selling too many different shower curtains.
Have tried Target and Walmart. Also tried TJ Maxx, but I know that's a YMMV type of store. Am planning to check JC Penny and Burlington Coat Factory whenever I drive out that way again. Burlington Coat Factory is where I bought my old bathroom stuff.
And yes, I'll update you guys with pictures, as soon as I have found a home for all of my stuff!
Margaret, who is licking yogurt from the container since she doesn't have a spoon yet, but, who is obsessing over the perfect shower curtain...
(Ok... so I do have a spoon, but, it's in a storage facility far away and I won't be able to get there til this weekend) |

| | Yeah, I'll try them eventually, if need be. I was just hoping someone would have a Eureka! moment and tell me they just saw exactly what is in my head. |

| | Sheets and other curtains (not designed for showers) can be converted easily, and work for the shower with a neutral or clear plastic curtain liner to back it.

| | Thanks guys!
I get really driven when it comes to finding the "right" something or other in my head. It became all I could think of for the last couple days. I'm sure the next thing will be the perfect mirror over the fire place, the perfect artwork over the sofa, the perfect whatever the heck I'm gonna put on the wall you stare at when you come through my door, etc
I bought a shower curtain at Target and spent way more than I wanted to (think design on a nickel...) to have something that I didn't really like but worked with the room. I'll skip over a few other stores I went to today so I don't bore you. Then I was at the Christmas Tree Shop and actually found one that was close to what I wanted, but I was going to work really hard at attempting to make it the colors I pictured (bleaching and dying it... it was going to be an experiment to say the least...)
I was still unsatisfied and went to Burlington Coat Factory. I was so excited. I found many things on display that could work, without modification, and were close to what I wanted. Then I found it, tucked back in a corner... the idea that was in my head!
So it's up and I'll take a picture later. Now I have to return the Target and Xmas Tree shower curtains.
Oh, and the best thing... I paid $9.99 for the curtain
Even better, I can return the bath mat and the towels I bought to go with the Target curtain, because I have the towels and bathmats already to match the one I got at Burlington.
I hate shopping at Burlington, and avoid it at almost all costs, but, when I find what I want there, it's worth it! |
