| | Re washer & dryer on woot today (08/06) | | I know, the five dollar shipping is probably the best deal, although it looks to be a good deal on the washer and dryer as well. Currently we have two fridges, two stoves, and two microwaves, I'm not sure Nick would go for another set of double appliances, especially since they're stainless. Bummer.

| | Re washer & dryer on woot today (08/06) | | We keep getting new ones, and haven’t managed to get rid of the old yet. When he was going to move in, the family that was leaving didn’t know if they were going to leave the fridge or not. We were at an auction, and there was a really nice, newer fridge that we just couldn’t pass up, especially since there was a chance there wouldn’t be a fridge in the house when he moved in. So we bought it, and of course they left the fridge. After a couple of months, I got sick of the side-by-side, so we moved the one that came with the house to the basement, and put in the much newer and nicer one we got at the auction. Last week someone at work was selling a flat-top stove and over the range microwave. The stove that came with the house sucks big time – no broiler, electric coils, and a mind of it’s own. We’ve got a counter-top microwave, and Nick’s been wanting one to go over the stove, but they’re really expensive. Since it was a friend at work who was getting rid of them, she gave me an awesome deal on them both, and they’re only two years old and it great condition. Once again, we couldn’t pass it up. So I picked up the stove and microwave this weekend, the guys put it in, and now there’s an oven in the basement with the fridge. Did I mention the treadmill that came with the house too? Because that’s down there too. Needless to say, things are getting a little crowded with all the extra appliances/etc we have sitting around right now.

| | Re washer & dryer on woot today (08/06) | | Oh yeah, that too. There's actually an "extra" TV sitting in the backroom in addition to the two upstairs and 58" downstairs.
I never thought of Craig's list, we just thought about selling them on the classifieds at work. Neither the stove or fridge are in great condition, but they work. I'll mention that to him. I think the microwave is going home for his little brother or sister to use in dorm/appartment.

| | Re washer & dryer on woot today (08/06) | | Regarding the fridge and oven in the basement - around here that can be construed as proof you've got an illegal apartment set up in the house

| | Re washer & dryer on woot today (08/06) | | I suppose it might look bad, but neither of them are hooked up right now. We've talked about keeping the fridge as an spare for the basement or garage, but just don't have enough of a need for it. As far as both of them, I'd just like to see them gone. We almost had a taker for the fridge, but Nick wants more out of it than I think we're going to be able to get. I told him if we can at least get what he paid for the other fridge we'd be doing good, but he seems to think it's worth more than that. Never mind the fact that it's almost 10 years old and not in perfect shape. At least on the stove he's saying he'll be happy if he can get $20-30 out of it.
