I dunno... maybe it's me, but I think it's a bit of a tacky way to advertise your paper. Look how many people can die in a day! Buy our paper so we can tell you!

Gotta agree. I don't think anyone was intentionally crude with it, and it is laidback, but still exploitative.

Oh, I totally agree that the ad campaign is tacky. But, the pictures themselves speak to me.

G agreed. If it had been an ad for, say, the Red Cross? I'd be a lot better with it. Then again, I still cry when I see the Towers in a movie when I'm not expecting it.
