Texas Primacaucus

Sorry, but I think we are long past the point where dealing with stupidity trumps states' rights.

Exclusive Caucus Report: Texas Caucus Results Thwarted By Possibly Transgendered Old People

I can't find a single reason why each state does things willy-nilly when it comes to voting, from qualifying voters (letting one party mess around with the other party's election because you aren't required to vote IN your party) to how the votes are counted. ARG!

Re Texas Primacaucus

What earthly business does the caucus holders have in knowing if someone is LBGT?

Re Texas Primacaucus

I have no earthly clue why they need ANYTHING other than name, address, party.

Re Texas Primacaucus

Of course there is no need to know. If they had to defend it before a panel of judges, they couldn't.

And it is mystifying that all these years after the infamous butterfly ballots anyone would design a form that collects information in two different directions and in different type sizes. Having most of it horizontal and then switching to smaller type that's perpendicular is poor design, unless it's deliberate and then it's worse. It looks like elections officials are trying to make it difficult in hopes they can trip up voters they don't like.
