McCain: Use success of banking deregulation as model for health care reform

He wasn't saying this five or six years ago, either. In the current issue of a trade publication for insurance actuaries, McCain wrote a four-page article laying out his plan for health care reform that he summed up with this:

John McCain said

Opening up the health insurance market to more vigorous nationwide competition, as we have done over the last decade in banking, would provide more choices of innovative products less burdened by the worst excesses of state-based regulation.

LOL - Wait! So, with the bailout does that mean McCain is now for putting government in control of health care? That's brilliant.

Maybe we can do it before the health care system crashes, though.
