I Love Amazon
Littlest one turns 3 on the 2nd of the month. I had to wait for a commission check from Amazon before I got her a gift and the slowpokes waited till today to send it.

I went to place my order, and when I chose standard shipping, they said they would ship it on Feb. 1. If I chose one day shipping, they said they wouldn't ship it until the 3rd!

With the items still in my cart, I called Amazon. She had me verify a couple of things, and then put the order through. Once it went through, she fixed it to make it ship tomorrow Smile

Not many people use the phone number cause they hide it so well, but every time I have called, they have picked up immediately and resolved my problem cheerfully. Gotta love that place and I hope they hide the number forever Big Grin

(For EA members, the number is 800-201-7575)

I love Amazon too, but I can never find the EA link when I need it. Amy, can you post it here so that when I place an order I can do it here so EA gets credit? Thanks!

Deb, the link is a sticky in the Pop Culture forum. It used to be in Books.

grrrrr amazon. I bought 2 items and both were late and dodgy. I hate their search and navigation as well. It does have some good deals on the other hand.

Another reason to love Amazon.

Good: Amazon Sends "Best Customer Service E-mail I've Ever Received"

This cracked me up; so I had to share.

I love it when a company gets the joke when customers have some fun, and actually acknowledge it. It's nice to commisserate when the tin-foil trolls are running around!

wow. I know they are responsible for most of mine. That's why I was a lousy CL for online stores. I only shopped at Amazon Big Grin

Well, today I tried to get Depends at Amazon (my hubby's stepmother is in a nursing home 1400 miles away. She is a double amputee. She really appreciates the Depends, and I order some every 2 months or so.) Amazon was out. Said, "we'll e-mail you...."

The heck with that, I thought, and I ordered them from Drugstore.com Price was actually a little less. I got a 7% rebate from Mr. Rebates AND $2.67 in Drugstore.com dollars to use at a future date...

I do shop at Amazon, but not anywhere near exclusively. Now that I know I can do better at Drugstore with this regular purchase, I'll probably switch.

I thought Drugstore.com was now a subsidiary of Amazon?

I love Amazon, too. I can also say that they are responsible for most of mine. As what others have said that's the reason why some people were a lousy CL for online stores. I and my friends only shopped at Amazon, too.

RE: I Love Amazon
I have saved up a few gift certificates for Amazon through Swagbucks. Should take care of a good part of one person's Christmas gifts. I wish I had started earlier, but it will be a big help (this year where I shouldn't be spending ANYTHING!)

Amazon's prices are generally good, but I wish they had coupon codes more often. I haven't seen any generic $x off a purchase of $y since they started free shipping for orders over $25. I do appreciate their free shipping, however!

RE: I Love Amazon
Amazon is one place, but by no means the only place, where I shop. If they offer me the best deal, I shop there, and if they don't, I shop elsewhere.

My hubby's stepmother is in a nursing home in NY. She is fairly young (73) but has lost both her legs to diabetes. Living so far away, we can only see her about twice a year, but I will order things she needs from Amazon and they are always good about delivery...

And they come in plainer boxes (once I ordered her something from Drugstore.com, and the NH administrator called her in and said, "Why are you ordering drugs through the mail?" She wasn't....)

Amazon is an easy way I can help meet her needs from a distance.

RE: I Love Amazon
I am upset I missed a gold box the other day. I had heard about it, but I was busy with work and school and forgot to order. It's $79 for something I could have gotten for $50.

Sad

But otherwise, I love Amazon.

Amazon delivers to APO addresses. Drugstore.com does too.

Walmart and Target do not.
