Yeah. Not to mention that the test only looked for color synasthesia, not anything else. Days don't have colors. They have tastes. Wink And THAT netted me a nice stint with a shrink back in the day.

And both numbers and colors have genders. Numbers 1-14 have personalities and a complicated story line too, as do the basic 8-pack crayola colors.

I really don't think that I have synesthesia at all. I just remembered the colors I selected for each number. Smile

I don't remember them when I was in preschool, but, I remember them from when I was student teaching.

That's so interesting, MJ! I thought of three numbers as related, a mom, a dad and a little boy. Sounds like your story is better than mine.

Does anyone other than me visualize time passing as a kind of spiral that trails off into the distance, each year being a circle with December at the top and the summer months at the bottom? If I want to remember when something happened, I have to go back around the spiral and visualize when the event took place. The days of the week are shaped more like an oval, though.

You won't be the first. I have a strong tendency to turn things into pictures in my mind; I just don't talk about it very much. When I was in grade 11 or 12, we were assigned an essay on the subject of "time". I visualized "time" relentlessly dragging me along on the end of a chain, and the teacher asked me if I had read Emerson. I said "Emerson who?"

Reviving dead posts.

That would make an interesting childrens book story line. Particularly the '8-pack crayola colors' idea...

That without knowing exactly what or how bizarre the stories are...

I got 70% & was suprised to have scored that high. I didn't put in any colors for the numbers, I would have nothing other than numbering the colors in the rainbow. But I have to think about that, they don't just automatically show up in my mind.

It's a long way to Heaven,
