Daisy is a big sister! We pick up our 7-week old yellow lab puppy tomorrow. Her name will probably be Molly. Or Maggie, Annie, or something else - still working on that part of it - but I'm so looking forward to this. Daisy is so much fun but she's firmly attached to Ted and I'm hoping this one will bond with me.

I vote for Molly. I won't let anyone call me Maggie!!! I'll stick up for a dog that can't speak for herself

Her mother is so sweet - we've visited twice now and I am just in love with her too. If our puppy is half as loving, we'll have an excellent dog. Here's a pic of her mom:

Oh, she's adorable!

Our puppy, Bugglet (whom I call Baby Bug) is getting spayed tomorrow morning. She is all of four pounds (maybe even less.) She is either Yorkie Pomeranian or Yorkie Shihtzu, I'm not exactly sure which. But she is the most insubstantial little ball of fluff I've ever cuddled up with.

(I think that 2 of those four pounds are in her vocal cords.)

Our shihtzu, Gidget, is still dearest to my heart, but my daughter brought home Bugglet, and she is a cutie.

Dan has asked a couple of times about getting another pup. We are pet sitting Lola over Christmas, and I told him we'd see how Rex adjusts to having her around (she's a puggle and rather a bully!). He's been an only dog for so long, I don't know that he'd like sharing his people.

Did you introduce Daisy and the puppy to make sure they'd be compatible? How are they doing now that she's been home for a day?

Good looking dog!

Oh, puppy!!!!! She is such a dolly! I can't wait for pics of Daisy and her baby sister- that will be so adorable.

Lynn, we didn't introduce them prior to picking her up and Daisy did have a short spell of sibling rivalry but she's resigned to the new puppy now. They're getting along fine, taking turns nipping each other's ears.

I was up until 3 a.m. puppy wrangling - the new one needs to go outside every hour and Daisy wakes up every time the front door opens and it takes an hour to settle her back down, so I'm hoping things settle down soon.

We started out calling her Molly but she just looks like a Bella to me. I kept "accidentally" calling her Bella, so Ted finally caved and now we have Bella (short for Annabelle) and Daisy. Her registered name will be Shotgun Annabelle after her great grandmother (Shotgun Annie).
