| | My book of poetry | | I was just informed yesterday that my new book of poetry will be published this fall, with an anticipated publication date of September 1, 2002.
The title is A Chorus of Voices.
The ISBN number was assigned late last week, the LCC number has been requested.
It will be published by Dry Bones Press in San Francisco. It will be distributed by Ingram, and should be available on Amazon.com and Barnes&Nobles. I hope it will get added to the Epinions database, too. |

| | Congratulations, Father Kurt.
That is something to be really proud of. (I always dreamed of having something of mine published. For real; not on Epinions.)
As you are aware by now, I am an accomplished poet, too. I do that hanky...hiccup...that short Japanese stuff.
Maybe we can get together and talk poet stuff sometime. I'm good at rhyming junk (bees, trees, sneeze).

| | I'd be honoured if EA people would review my book. Hopefully that means they'll buy it first.
I had a chapbook (small press, limited run) of poetry published back in 1986; it was published in New York and London. It was entitled The Thirteen Apostles.
I've incorporated most of the poems from that book together with other poetry I wrote in the late 80s and early 90s. Almost everything has been published in magazines, poetry journals, and collections elsewhere. I was thinking of getting a reprint of the chapbook while at Themestream, since the poetry seemed to go over well there. When Themestream went under, and CTS hired me, I put it on the back-burner. Now I've had the time, so I shopped it out again with the expansions.
I'll put poems from the book up on Epinions -- it would be nice if they'd offer a link to purchase; it will be available on Amazon.com, as all Dry Bones works are.
Thanks for your support! |

Congratulations, I will anxiously await it's release and the anticipated use of a gift certificate. I look forward to it.

| | Thanks. It probably won't make a dime for me (I think I have to sell 200 copies before I start making royalties) but I'm glad to have the book coming out in print. |

| | I must have missed this the other day - too cool, Kurt!
And whaddya mean, you won't make anything because you have to sell at least 200 copies!

| | For Dry Bones Press to recover their initial investment, they need to sell a certain number of books.
Depending upon the final price set, it will probably be about 200 books. |
