the sportsguy who doesn't watch the World Series

I was annoyed by this when I heard it, but figured I'd forget it. No dice. I'm still annoyed.

But I'm also probably irrational, so I'll share and you all can call me nuts.

The sportsguy on one of the local radio stations was on the day after the World Series ended. When asked how he enjoyed the WS game, he replied that he didn't see it because the Sopranos were coming on, and that he tried to turn to the WS before the Sopranos at a quarter till, but there was a commercial so he didn't see any of the game.

I guess I just don't get it. This is supposed to be the SPORTS guy.

On the other hand, he's just a talking head... er... voice on the radio. What does he care about sports?

Bah. I don't know. What do you think?

Julie

I think his priorities are out of whack. Last time I checked, they don't do reruns of the World Series.

If he is just a 'talking head', it wouldn't surprise me.

After all, he can 'read copy' just as well as the hard-news people. . .and understand just as little...:-)
.
.
But if he does any interaction with listeners then he is an idiot. Or his audience doesn't care about baseball...:-)
