| | Does anyone use yahoo email?
If you do, have you had a lot of strange things happening to your yahoo mail recently?
For example, when viewinig emails, when you delete & move to the next email, does your screen layout go bonky?
I have noticed something funky going on, off and on for about 2 weeks on occasion.
I wonder if it is just me?
Thanks.

| | I keep scanning my pc for viruses, etc, but they come out clean.
I try doing those system vulnerability scans to check weaknesses, and those come out pretty clean too.
I wonder if some how someone has gotten access to something & messes with it while I am checking email or something. I would hate to think that, but being the paranoid person that I am becoming about online transactions, I keep wondering...

| | I have problems with Yahoo mail/groups every now and again. same thing you describe, everything gets wonky. I think it's just a glitch in the system. I know it's not just me(or you) because I get the same complaints from other members of a yahoo mom's group I post at.

| | I had so many problems with Yahoo mail that I simply stopped using it -- closed up my account with them and everything. Thankfully, it was only a secondary account. |

| | I don't use Yahoo mail, but like Fridai, I have trouble from time to time with YahooGroups. I keep getting bounced, which means they shut off *every* group I'm on, and I miss out on chunks of conversations here and there until either I figure it out or they send me a "your mail is bouncing" message.

| | Their table layout gets a little screwy sometimes after I delete a message. Going back to the inbox seems to fix it for me.

| | That's where I mostly see it too, and mine usually clears up when I hit the in box again.
I feel better knowing that others are experiencing some weirdness with Yahoo in general!
I appreciate everyone's feedback! Quote: | amykhar said

| | Melanie-I HATE when the groups shut down. I've been part of a mom's group for over four years now, we're like family and it drives me batty when I miss something!
I wonder if it's an AOL thing?

| | I have four Yahoo accounts and PM has one.
In the last few weeks, I've noticed that when I click Reply or Forward, my response disappears about halfway through my typing it. And the fonts are huge - about 18 pt. So I wind up having to retype everything, and it won't let me scroll down. But that only happens on one of the accounts. The others work fine.
The thing I've noticed is that if I have two accounts open at the same time, I get timed out in about ten minutes and have to sign back in. But when I hit the link to do that, it brings up the OTHER account. So if I've been working in Account A and have to relog, it brings up Account B. I have to sign out, hit "sign in as a different user," and start the sign-in process all over again. It happens EVERY time. And only when I have two accounts open simultaneously.

| | Im's supposedly in the H&G TR/Advisor group on Yahoo, but a few months ago, it stopped recognizing me and wouldn't let me in. So I guess I'm persona non grata; I continued to get the alerts for a while, but even that stopped.

| | Margaret, if you're having trouble with groups, you might be bouncing. You can check your email settings on the group page by clicking Edit My Membership. Or you can contact the moderator and have them remove you from the bouncing list.
Bouncing is supposed to mean that your inbox is too full to receive messages (soft bouncing), or that you've cancelled your account (hard bouncing). At least, that's what I've been assured. I think it's just Yahoo decides it's going to mess with you. I have no idea what Bridgette, and our friend lovesscifi have done to annoy Yahoo, but they get bounced all the time.

| | I never did anything to cause the shut-out. I get the e-mails without a problem, but when I click on the link, I get a page that tells me I have to sign in, and when I try, it doesn't recognize me. I mentioned it to the mod when it happened, but got no response.
