Today I'm teaching my first coupon class. Two adults and 3 teenagers. It has been years since I've done anything like this. Last time was Creative Memories classes, and the last one I taught, Erin was about a month old. She's turning 6 years old in two days, so that's been a while..... I don't like "public speaking" even in small groups and I'm all knotted up! Let's just say, I shouldn't have had pizza for dinner last night, it had it's revenge at 1:30 this morning.

Good luck. And, like Amy said, can't wait to hear how great things went.

| | You go girl! You're talking about something you have a passion for, and know like the back of your hand. Small group, I take it a somewhat casual setting....you'll do great!!
Congrats and let us know how it went!!!!

| Yep - my house, homeschool moms and teenagers. And since it's at my house, I am beyond exhausted from cleaning.

| | Whew! Done! It went really great. I think the only thing I'd change is that next time I will make it only for adults or only for students - I ended up talking mostly with the moms and I feel like I shortchanged the teenagers. I know they were pretty bored by halfway through.
I feel better now!

| | Teenagers always get bored half way through even when standing on your head for entertainment. I'm sure it was great for all. Is the class for coupon clipping or for the internet coupons or both? Great job and I'm sure you feel must feel great! Good for you!

| | I'm glad you have the opportunity to share your knowledge of a subject you know so much about. You've pointed out loads of great bargains and offers to us here at EA.
Being the Mom of a teenager, I'd say that their coupon interests might be different from adults'. Teen Freeway seems like a great site for teen bargains. Compiling a list of local businesses that offer them discounts with their student ID's would be great for them.
Teaching them how to comparison shop for things like auto insurance.
Or what to look for in a good used car.
I've noticed the Sunday supplements like Smart Source usually carry several Maybelline, Cover Girl, or Almay coupons.
Another area teens need education in is how to use credit wisely BEFORE they are faced with the temptation or a real-life credit card. |

It's always good to get the initial one under your belt!

| For B&M shopping, mostly grocery and necessities shopping, with coupons, watching for sales, rebates, etc.
Fraz, those are some GREAT ideas. Thank you so much!
