Do you remember?

Even I, the ancient one, don't remember them all

As a general rule, the better it felt when you said it, the more trouble it's going to get you into.

When a quarter was a decent allowance?
I was probably too young to know whether or not it was decent, but I do remember that when my parents started giving me an allowance when I turned 4, it was 15 cents a week.

Granted, that Eisenhower guy was President at the time.

Re: (2) Do you remember?

I don't think this is dated far back enough, because while I got a quarter allowance (I think my first raise was to 50 cents), '57 Chevys were NOT desired. Well, except by my dad.

Most of the rest of it is true... I remember tvs warming up, my gym uniform in high school was HIDEOUS, and the only purebred dogs I'd ever heard of were the ones I read about in books.

And not only did my mom & grandmother still wear girdles and stockings, but wigs.
