History of web pages

How do you find old web pages that have since been edited? I'm curious about this and have seen it done a few times here and there. I'm not talking about Epinions but rather other things...

Is it possible to see any web page this way or what?

Ander

Googling the phrase "way back machine" ( yes I know it sounds silly ) will find the one I am familiar with and at least one other.

Re History of web pages

Hmmm... It didn't work in the case I'm trying to look up. It is a site similar to Epinions (writing.com).

Re History of web pages

Archive.org is probably the best resource for this.

Re History of web pages

Thanks to the Internet Wayback Machine, a Bryce image that I created in 1997 and some abstract pseudo-art that I did in Photoshop six years ago.

Another Bryce image, “UFO Hovering Over The Aral Sea” (what a pretentious title).

Re History of web pages

The Google Desktop Search Engine does a pretty good job of showing you recently cached pages.
