Southern NH, North Shore MA, Seacost NH, Seacost ME, Southern VT?

Probably the best bets for what I have in mind right now would be NH, but I'm also planning other stuff that may be farther afield.

I have been trying to start a writer's group or book club, or even just a group of people that talk about anything other than construction and beer (sorry honey) to get together with once in a while. I can't seem to find many people who read here (the library is the size of a 10 x 10 bedroom, the school is one of the worst around for reading skills, the local market stocks no books other than harlequin-type romances, etc). There is a town next to me with a good high school, but i haven't been able to generate any interest there either. harrumph.

Anywho - anyone interested?

Leslie, I recall a substantial Seacoast Writer's Association... in Dover.

And, I'm digging through the mound of papers I have to find the other one I would occasionally pop in on...based in Raymond, I think, but went house to house.

Also, if you don't mind going up the river a piece, there's the NH Writers' Project. I never got around to getting in on this one as I had kids by the time I found it.
