| | BLECH BLECH BLECH | | I stopped at McD's on my way back from running an errand to get a quick lunch. Being somewhat health concious (I know, oxymoron), I ordered my Big Kids Meal with the Apple Dippers.
#1 - I didn't get a Pirate's Toy. I think I'm supposed to get one with the big kids meal. I just got a stupid BOX.
#2 - The apple dippers tasted disgusting, so I looked at the "USE BY" date....JULY 8.
I still have a bag of nasty apple dippers (less one), no toy, and I'm still hungry. Suggestions?

| | I've had the apple dippers before and they were fine. Tasted a bit like reconstituted dried apples, but fine.
These taste sort of like mushy fermented icky worms or something. An hour later and I'm still trying to kill the taste.
A baby hersheys' bar dipped in the carmel works, though.

| | The apples are usually ok, but they have preservatives. Easier and cheaper to run into the market and buy an apple. If you buy the sliced apples with the preservatives you must eat them fast! Otherwise |

| | They shouldn't have been from the drive through. I bought them TODAY for crying out loud.
I threw them away, no sense in going back over there (it's on the other side of town, I was just in the neighborhood because Michael's had a 40% off coupon and I need to buy a few crimpers for my classes) and they were just getting mushier as the day went on.

| | Next time get the Asian Chicken Salad. I swear it's the best thing on their menu. Oh, and call the store to complain. They'll often leave a free coupon or something in your name. |

| | Oh wait, I know the problem! There was no year on them! They just said "use by July 8" but that could have been Mc2007!!!!!
They're in my trash can at work. I'm going to just look more closely next time before I leave the store. The whole reason I went to McD's was because I wanted the Pirates toy and I didn't even get that!!!

| | Calling corporate won't do much for you... almost all the stores are franchised. You could try the owner's group (the owner group is always on one of those plaques no one ever looks at near the front counter), but I'd try the store first.
We ALWAYS made good on phone calls with dissatisfied customers. Then again, the store I worked at did so well our store manager drove a $40,000 sports car. Back in the 80s. And our owner had all five of the top selling stores here. |
