Animal Crossing DS - anyone else playing?

My son's fiance talked me into getting this game. My son thinks we are both nuts. He's probably right. Anyone else playing?

Re Animal Crossing DS - anyone else playing?

We have this game on game cube. I'm addicted - it's a lot of fun. I love it for the kids, too.

Re Animal Crossing DS - anyone else playing?

We don't have the GC version. With the DS version, you can visit friend's worlds. I'm planning to get a DS and Animal Crossing for my 11 year old for his birthday -- which was Tuesday and he wasn't home to celebrate. I have to go shopping today. He'll be home on Saturday. He's wanted a DS forever and will be thrilled. He'd probably rather have Mario Cart, but he'll like this one too. I need to check out the WiFi thing with Mario Cart before I let him have that one. You can only play Animal Crossing with friends.

The son who is engaged was really thrilled (NOT) when I told him I was going to get Animal Crossing for the little guy - and bought it for myself. His comment was, "Great, now she'll be coming over to see you instead of me."

What does he want? He works night shift and sleeps all day!

Re Animal Crossing DS - anyone else playing?

You can visit friends' worlds in GC, but you have to insert their memory cards. We don't have a DS - although my oldest is trying to save his money for one. We can hook up the Gameboy Advance and that gives access to a cool island you travel to via boat.

Pippa - it's a game that is highly addictive considering there is no violence in it at all. Nintendo.com Games : Animal Crossing

Re Animal Crossing DS - anyone else playing?

I'm sorry, Wormie. I wanted to show Pippa what it was. It's worth buying a DS just to play it, though.

Re Animal Crossing DS - anyone else playing?

The middle child who laughed at me for playing Animal Crossing yesterday went out and bought it today. He's been playing his fiancee's game. Totally nonviolent. Totally addictive.

Amen. People look at us funny when they find out we have no Nintendo/PlayStation/Gameboy/etc. One guy even tried to GIVE us his old Nintendo, and I turned him down.

We have FOUR computers. We need game stations like a fish needs a bicycle.

You'll probably regret it. Not the money. The time.

Re Animal Crossing DS - anyone else playing?

I broke down and bought myself a system yesterday. It was $129 at Game Crazy, including Animal Crossing: Wild World. Now the boys are ticked, but they have the Game Cube version.
