| | We all are. #2 has been plotting since last August? July? Whenever he last saw the Merry Prankster aka Chip. I vetoed all of these:
pouring hot sauce into his borhters' mouths while they slept
gluing bows to their hair with superglue
soaking their hands in warm water (he especailly wanted to do that to #3, who sleeps in the top bunk)
dusting their bodies with powdered sugar
I finally agreed to let him draw blue mustaches and eyebrows with markers. Unfortunately, he found the permanent ones and used those. Grumble.
So anyway, since he is the one who coems up with the most creative pranks, this year I thought a lot about karma and all that. After he went to sleep, I snuck into his room and painted his toenails with the brightest red polish I own. He didn't even flinch!
This morning, he woke his brothers up by taking their pictures with the camera. Of course, they were not at all amused. Until #2 looked down and saw his fresh manicure. The brothers just howled. #2 went nuts. As in,"That is not funny! That is not a joke, that's mean! Do you know what I look like???" etc. He wouldn't listen to us explain that payback's a b*tch and all that, he was just mad.
Luckily, Chip called to wish him a Happy April Fool's day, so that cheered him up more than you know. They were shipsering at one point, btw, so now I am afraid to sleep.
So, what did you guys do? |

| | I took Chip's advice. Did I mention that Chip is an evil genius?
He advised me to get #2 to calm down by playing a trick on myself, laughing my head off, and then trying to get one of them to confess. This was brilliant on so many levels. I ran upstairs to brush my teeth, then made gagging and coughing noises. I yelled downstairs for them to all form a line so that I could yell at each one, then asked, "Ok, who put tuna juice on my toothbrush?"
I started laughing when I saw their faces. They were both stunned and trying to look at each other to see who'd done it. I was just cracking up, and they all began blaming each other - "I saw him carrying a can of tuna earlier today!" and "he smelled like tuna this morning, I think it was him" and of course, #4's fast "It wasn't me! I didn't do it!" before anyone even accused him. They spent the rest of the afternoon trying to trick each other into confessing.
#1 nearly wet himself when I told him about #2's pedicure, and when I told him about the fake trick of tuna juice, I'm sure he broke something. |

| | Too funny, Cindy! I love the evil plan - Chip just may be a genius.
We played a more innocent prank on the boys. Each weekend morning they wake up and head straight for the kitchen for a bowl of cereal. They went all that time with no food while they slept and they'd starve to death waiting for me to make eggs, so they cereal it and then about 11 we make a big breakfast.
Jay and I switched all the bags of cereal around. We put the Raisin Bran in the Rice Krispies box and the Corn Chex in the Special K box, etc. Nicholas woke me up to tell me that they've been cheated with their cereal. I went into the kitchen and the older two boys were sitting at the table with all the cereal screaming "This one is wrong too!" in between hysterical laughter.

| | It's even better when you have girl and boy cereal. At my sister's house, the leprechauns messed with the cereal on St. Patrick's Day. Imagine the HORROR when my nephew poured his Fruit Loops and out came Disney Princess cereal. |

| | Oh, I am going to try this one night: FamilyFun: Pranks: A Fool's Dinner (Food Prank) - and More Family Fun
Nicholas hates everything that I put in front of him and always complains about dinner no matter what it is. I want to see him complaining about THIS dinner and trying to tell me he tried it and didn't like it. LOL

OMG I am dying!!! You cannot imagine what ear-piercing howls of anguish might occur if that were ever to happen here.
Or....
...if it would happen in Michigan...in July.... | | |
