| | that I could work a Monday and then race home to host a sedar. I think I've lost my mind.
I was almost in tears with stress at 10am. Got through the day - several people think I'm a bitch because I didn't have time to chat about what I was doing - like working my butt off while they're on vacation - but I had a productive day.
Raced out of there with phones still ringing at 4pm to run home, set the table, prepare the sedar. Just about set. Turkey is almost done. As soon as mom and dad get here we can start - and I dont' care how bad it is - I'm drinking all four glasses of wine.
They're here!
Catch you later. |

The sedar went quite well. I overcooked the broccoli, but my matzo balls, that I almost threw out yesterday because I thought were wrong were a big hit, and everyone seemed to like my brussel sprouts. Brian made the turkey and it was a big hit. I made rolls this year that were edible, and I used some fancy spa recipe from Self magazine for a chocolate....thingie, eliminated the topping, and subsituted matzo meal for the flour and it was actual good.
We had a nice time, we all laughed a lot, which is really nice considering this is my family - we seem to have all grown into a happy place together.
Work again tomorrow, but they just left and now I'm not tired enough for bed. |

| | I'll get the recipe for the chocolate thingy. Am I allowed to post it here if its from a magazine?
It uses cocoa, coffee, prunes, one egg white, some flour, brown sugar, baking soda, baking powder. It sounds awful, but it was good. |
