Happy Easter

I know that is sort of a cutesy picture and this is a deeply religious holiday, but I hope that all of you who are celebrating have a wonderful Easter with loved ones.


As for me, I'm so sick of matzo I could scream.

Thank you Wormie. It is a beautiful picture. And yes, it is a very religious holiday for us, but it is also a fun one too. The "Easter bunny" still comes to our house, he brings different things now, but he still hops on over.

We went to church this morning. I like to sit in a certain spot, so we get there early. 20 minutes early today. The only spot I could get 4 seats was in the back of the church on the folding chairs. And it wasn't even in the section I like to sit in. People were talking, and walking around the back of the church. It really annoyed me. Certainly not the prayerful beginning to this holiday I wanted.

We came home, and hubby made breakfast, and the kids put on a movie, but it ran late. So they went to visit Grandmom in the nursing home, while I stayed home to make the potato salad. I should have done it yesterday, but I didn't. I do not like warm potato salad, so now I can chill it and it will be cold for 6ish, when I want to have dinner.

I was all decked out in pink this morning, tho. That was my fashion statement for today.

I spent four hours in church today. For some reason it didn't feel as holy as it usually does maybe because I was too busy scurrying around getting people forks and what not (we had a HUGE turnout for Easter breakfast - even ran out of food! )

I need a nap.

We had an Easter brunch after church today. We got there plenty early and it ran plenty late, as usual on a holiday. The church is usually full but it overflowed into the hall part of church today.

My mom just got home from the hospital yesterday so I'm going over there this afternoon. My sister is fixing my parents some turkey breast and I'm bringing some ham and dessert. My husband has the beginning of a cold so he'll stay home. My mom couldn't take getting sick at this point.

My kids will be wandering over there from other places today.

The bunny came here too and I'll carry the stuff to my mom & dad's.

It's mainly about church and the people we love to be with. So I'm lucky enough to have had it all today

Today, I finally got it. The faith part. I suddenly was overwhelmed and believed it all. It's very hard for me to let go of that. The pastor was up there, with all the children around him, and he asked why a flower that has not yet bloomed would be a symbol of Easter, and the kids kind of fumbled and my heart started shouting...

Something wonderful is coming! It means something beautiful and wonderful is coming.
