| | Brrr! Our furnace broke sometime last night. I got up this morning and turned it up to the daytime temp, and nothing happened. #1 went down to check on the fuses and the switch, and nothing. I'm going to call first thing in the morning - today is not only weekend rates but holiday rates on top of that, so we are just going to stay bundled up.
Right now, it's not so bad. It's 50 inside because of cooking, boiling water etc. I'm so thankful it happened now, instead of during that awful cold weather we had in February. Think warm thoughts our way! |

| | 50?! INSIDE?! Oh, you poor things! I think I'd turn on the oven full blast with the door open, then camp out in the kitchen.
And keep a sharp eye on the Horseman, anything made of wood, and the matches.

| | We're going to Helen's house for dinner. I am thinking that dinner should end about midnight or so.
We've got candles lit everywhere, a big pot of water boiling on the stove, and loads of blankets. When we get home, I'm going to do lots of laundry and get the water boiling again, and hopefully it won't be too bad in here tonight. And I hope that someone can come right away tomorrow morning! |

Keeping the oven warm is good. I'm glad you didn't lose power as well.

Do you have a self cleaning oven? Tonight would be a good time to clean! |

| | I have the sudden urge to sing "Ice, Ice Baby"... that really sucks, and I hope Helen turns the heat up nice and high.

| | Wind is pretty powerful today. It is cold, but nice. Snow flurries this morning. In my car this morning on our way to church, the message unit said "ice possible". Kids got a kick out of that--Ice possible on Easter Sunday.
I do remember a major snowstorm on Easter once when I was a teenager, way back then.
