| | How are you all doing this year??? My eyes are killing me. Other than that I am pretty good. I have never had issues with my eyes, now the itch is driving me nuts. I am using Flonase to control the sneezing but my eyes......

| | Mine have been under control thanks to the shots until today. I don't know if it was the being outside at a show all day, or what, but my eyes feel like they are full of grit, and I'm just dead tired.
But yeah, I'm in the same boat. Sneezing, hacking, not bad this year. Eyes, yuck.

| | Oh my allergies are kicking my BUTT this year! I even got a sinus infection from them recently that required antibiotics - first time for those in ten years! I have the shadowed, puffy eyes, red, and itchy as well. the sinus congestion and the dry cough. No sneezing this year for some reason. Blech. Waiting on my insurance card to arrive so I can go to the allergy doc. |

| | Lynn, can you use Visine-A for the eye itchiness? My allergist recommended that, and it's OTC. |

| | Visine-A works pretty well, but it BURNS. My allergy doc said to use it sparingly when I called him about it, but that it was ok. |

| | Most years it has been pretty bad, but I haven't noticed much of anything yet this year. Keep in mind that I am now knocking on wood as I type this... |

| | That's how Hubby and I know the Visine is working - if it stings, we know it's a high-pollen day. We used to use Occuhist until Visine took it over - Visine now has that one (I think it still says "formerly occuhist") and they have their other allergy eyedrop - the other one never worked well for me.

| | I have been using Visine-A, but I am afraid that I am using it too often. How long can you use it? I need it like 4-5 times a day. And it isn't really solving the problem.

| | mine are "okay" a few sniffles but not bad...yet. DD's are worse and we've already started on the pills for her headaches.

| | I use the Occuhist Visine once in the morning and once at night. Can't do more than that because I can't use it with contact lenses in, but I don't generally need more than that. It doesn't make my eyes perfect but it takes care of most of the allergy problem.

| | I have a bottle of the Visine A, but I think it's pretty old. I should probably just pick up a new one. And I agree with MJ that it's working when I feel the sting.
Still feels like grains of sand in my eyes.

| | Same here, and my eyes feel like they are filled with fluid. They are tearing, but it isn't gooky. They hurt at the outside ends. They are tearing a lot too.

| | I just gave in and made a doctor's appointment. My left eye is completely red, and tearing badly. Both are swollen, and they look like I got punched. I have a headache, and the visine no longer stings. 4;30 is the appointment.

It sounds like it may be something a little different, Angie. Although when mine were REALLY bad (pre-shots) I'd have drainage like tears and it would irritate the skin around my eyes - I looked like I had pink eye or something!
I hope they can diagnose and give you something to ease your misery.

| | He said both eyes are inflamed. He put me on an anti-inflammatory drop 9 1 drop 2 x each day) and otc claritin in addition to flonase. I really wasn't really having allergy symptoms. The long and short is if no change by Thursday I have to see an opthamologist--because it is some condition and I need steroid drops. My gp evidently doesn't prescribe steroid eye drops.
