| | The Everglades have raging fires and we are literally blanketed in smoke. I hope the winds change. The fires are closer to the West Side of the State, and it's so bad here.
And the drought is so bad that they're going to have to make the water restrictions more severe.
We NEED rain - and no lightening. |

| | what's that swirly thing on the weather map and why are they talking about sending in the hurricane hunters?
It's fire season. We're all smoked in. It's not yet hurricane season!
Fires AND hurricanes! I can't deal.
Did I mention that my homeowners pulled out of Florida and I have to find a new policy - again? |

| | Fire in the Glades is good. It rejuvinates the Glades.
Fire in residential areas - bad.
I guess a hurricane would solve the fire and drought problem. |

If it's not one thing, it's another.

| | Same here. Griffith Park is on fire and the smoke and haze can be seen here at least 20 miles away. Outside it smells like a campfire and not in a good way. |

| | No swirlies at the end of the month, please. I'll be in Georgia on the coast and I don't want my vacation ruined by Brutus or whatever tropical storm is up next!!!

| | Our wonderful firefighters have done it again. No structures lost in the Griffith Park fire. Fire got very close to the newly renovated (68 million dollar) historic observatory. Fire threatened many homes, the zoo and the Greek theater. Nothing lost. They flew the helicopters all night long at great risk to themselves. Firefighters do a terrific job. |
