I've bought patterns from Etsy. Some people like it, some hate it.
Up for debate whether or not its better than ebay.
I think you get a different market there.

It's way better than eBay.

No bidding wars. And the community there rocks, IMHO. I follow their blog (they are considered a 2.0 company) and they are doing some amazing things with that company.

Yeah, all the jewelry folk like Etsy way better than eBay...but you gotta play the game the same as you do on eBay. Just a smaller community.

I still need to get myself up and running. Maybe on vacation.

I do like that it's not bidding.
It's just sales. Great place to buy original patterns.

Well, I wanted to get my Etsy store set up on vacation, and I did.

It's no where near done yet...I need a banner, an avatar and to keep my listings current, but it's at least started.

It IS super easy to set up. And while I don't know all the marketing tricks yet, I've already had some people I don't know choose me in their favorites...and my stuff is getting hits with my even telling a soul about it! That's kind of exciting.

If you are interested or want to give me some feedback, I'd love it.
