I need a glass of wine. No, a margarita would be better. Or both. 
Here's what I did today:
1. Took #1 around to everywhere to buy bags and bags of Western wear.(He looks absolutely adorable in his embroidered red shirt with Colt 45's embroidered into it with roses and horses )
2. Took #1 for his last visit with his recruiter. Affixed my official Marine Corps bumper sticker right now to my "Kinky Friedman- why the hell not?" bumper sticker on the van. After his swearing-in on Thursday, I can wear my pink t-shirt.
3. Bought a new pink cowboy hat. I deserve it.
What I would like to do this eveing:
1. Drink heavily.
What I will be doing instead:
1. Taking #2 to the hospital to see how many ribs he broke this afternoon while learning another new stunt on his BMX.  |

According to adopted uncle Trevor who is a PMS, Levi doesn't need to go to emerg. However, he does need to see our family dog tomorrow, so I'll call as soon as his office opens at 8. I just wish I could get through an entire week with everyone having only one emergency at a time. |

Yes- #2, who is very badly bruised but has no breathing pain this morning, is ging to see our family doctor. And Uncle Trevor is an EMT. And I have LMM.*

I'm glad he's OK and you didn't have to go to the ER last night. Handy to have an EMT around to evaluate trauma and let you know what needs to go the ER and what can wait.
I'm glad I have one living in the house. We have a deal, if it bleeds, it's his jurisdiction. I handle most of the illnesses.
True story:
One night my youngest wasn't feeling well. I told him he didn't need to go to the ER and that he'd feel better in the morning if he would only go to sleep.
He asked his brother for a second opinion.
Second opinion: "Mom's a nurse. She knows what she's talking about."

Nope. Apparently, he dislocated a...a something which is attached to the sternum. Anyway, our doc told me how to try and get it back into place. He had #2 clasp his hands behind his back and then lift up in a stretch. He yelled, his sternum or ribs popped a little pop, and then he was great after that. So, we don't need a trip to the doc.
In other news: #4 wants to learn to ride a unicycle. |
