| | Son of "Antarctica Pictures" - this time I got it right | | Thanks to Pippa, I finally got a workable link posted for my Antarctica photo album on Kodak Gallery. Since it's now buried in the earlier thread, I'm reposting it here, in case anyone is still interested. Kodakgallery.com*Slideshow
Thanks, Pippa!
Here's something to keep in mind:
We went from Argentina to the Falkland Islands to South Georgia Island to the Antarctic Peninsula to Argentina. It was high summer there, the equivalent of July here. So we saw snow mostly on the Peninsula but otherwise, we were in tussock grasses. The weather was in the high 30s and low 40s on land, so we took off our jackets a lot. It was only cold and windy at sea. It's NOT the South Pole!
Enjoy -

| | Re Son of "Antarctica Pictures" - this time I got it right | | I forgot to mention - each picture is captioned just below, so position it on your monitor so you can see the caption. On my monitor, I can either see the Next button or the caption, but not both.

| | Re Son of "Antarctica Pictures" - this time I got it right | | Margaret, what a treat you've shared with us. Thanks so much...your commentary had me rolling a couple of times!
I kept saying to myself "I wanna go" until the slide about the horrible waters for 55 hours (was that right? I had it set on 5 seconds and missed some of the text on the longer ones)...I'd have to probably be rendered unconcious to make it through that.
Gorgeous. You should be a wildlife photographer!!!!

| | Re Son of "Antarctica Pictures" - this time I got it right | | You look gorgeous and both you and hubby look like you are really having a great time!
These pictures are stunning and very professional looking. I started to take a peek but ended up looking at them all. Some I could just picture as a jigsaw puzzle (but the quality was better than most of those.) You really are a wonderful photographer and your pictures show creativity, balance and color control. Can you tell I loved your pictures?
Thank you so much for sharing.

| | Re Son of "Antarctica Pictures" - this time I got it right | | Wow - thanks for all the kudos! It's hard to take bad pictures of penguins, though!
