College World Series Baseball starts tomorrow. I've been trying to get tickets for two days...I'd like to take Jer to a game, but won't be able to stand in line for the cheap seats, so I wanted to get some reserved. Of course, they can't be had on the street for love or (not incredible amounts of) money!
So this morning, someone (who likes me
) gave me some tickets that were actually earmarked for someone else that they couldn't use. I was pretty excited, especially since the deal included two passes to the VIP tent with free food and beverages!!!
This afternoon, we got an email from our admin that there were two sets of tickets that we could put our names in a hat to be drawn. I wasn't going to enter - one set of tickets was for the day I'd already gotten, and I felt greedy putting my name in for the other game. BUT one of my coworkers put my name in anyway. Cest la vie...there are so many in our department I figured I didn't have a snowball's chance anyway.
I won!
Tickets for the game I already had tickets for, AND the VIP passes too! I felt guilty and gave the original tickets back (someone will use them!!) and the new ones are better seats.
I'm so excited! I haven't told Jeremy yet...I told him he needed to get some things done for his dad to get a treat that he will like a lot.
