Re Paper Airplanes

Thank you Leslie. I actually am bookmarking this site for next year. I teach a unit titled Locomotion--it deals with biological movement. The last chapter talks about drag force in water and air. My culminating activity is to allow the kids to build paper airplanes, using all that they have learned about drag force in air, and we go to the gym and fly them to see which flies farthest.

It is cool. It is a little unorthodox, but the kids really apply knowledge to what they build. I will show them some of these designs. It will be fun!!

Thanks.

Re Paper Airplanes

My FIL had a book of planes like these and it came with paper that was both decorated and marked for easier folding.

Those were some pretty amazing paper airplanes. One of my favorites had a pencil-thin rolled up paper tube as the body.
