| | What's everyone doing? I'm gardening, as usual. I've been outside since 10, and I finally need a break. I sure hope this counts as exercise, because if it doesn't, I won't have time to work out until it freezes. God forbid.
Tomorrow I'm going to help do a garden makeover at a friend's house. There will be four of us (Sara, the cd is coming along with! ) and I expect to be there all day. I just love summer! |

| | Not doing a damn thing!! I woke up with a migrane. It is feeling ok now, but I am wiped out. Missy is out of it today, and refuses to get dressed. Hubby cut the lawn, and the boy child just came back from playing tennis. He has to go to work now.

| | We went and looked at our (hopefully) new place!
It's just a trailer, which I'm not thrilled with, but the housing in our new city is SOOOO expensive - it's a college town. This will be a good temporary (year or two) landing place to get DH out of that 45 minute commute. It's marginally larger than our current home, and has a decent spot. It's in a "mobile home community", la-di-da, but it's a nice, clean one with walking trails and fishing ponds. And only about a 1/2 mile from the university's large animal veterinary clinic. Guess who's in the middle of the necessary girly-girl horse phase right now?
It's a nice little place, fairly new (only 6 years old), and at a really good price that will allow us to breathe for a while and get old bills paid down before we try to get a real house.

| | Melanie - once you're inside there is no way to tell whether its a trailer home or a constructed home. You're not in a place where you get too many hurricane/tornadoe scares. It's nice, affordable, larger than your current home and sounds like it's in a nice community. Home can be anywhere - sounds like you found a nice one! |

| | Well, I wouldn't go so far as to say that you can't tell the difference, not in a trailer (as opposed to the manufactured homes that look more like real homes) but it is really nice. No ugly dark brown paneling! I'm really excited, especially since the owner is a long-time friend. She's going through the opposite of DH - she lives there, and works here! LOL Plus, she has a 2 year old, so that extra 1 1/2 - 2 hours out of her day for driving really hurts when she'd rather be with her family. So I'm glad I can help her out.

| | I got up early, went to work, with DS along-saturdays are okay days for a kid to come, but after 4 hours I'd had enough, wasn't quite done but catching up will be "doable" come monday. I'd called in sick Thurs with a headache and really upset stomach and realized after talking to my supervisor that I was probably deyhdrated. I'm outside walking a LOT more than I used to be, but not drinking enough water-that's changing.
Then I had to drive from the tech center to Lafeyette and back to the north side of denver. I think my car needs new brakes. That does NOT make me happy.
right now? we're watching Ghost Rider and making dinner.

| | Melanie, that sounds wonderful, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!!! And tell Erin she can come up here if she needs a horse fix.
Busy day, but it felt lazy. Mowed a bit this a.m., played with some jewelry (I am finishing up an awesome necklace!) and the boys are off gathering hay, so I have the house to myself. Ran to the winery with a friend to check on my jewelry and amazingly enough, a couple tastes of local wine ended up in my hand...how did that happen?
More jewelry making tonite. I am feeling creative.

| | Slept in until 8am. Got up and putzed around the house. Went to my parents at about 1:30pm and got back home about 6:00pm. Just in time to be here when the water pump (we have well water) started smoking and smelling and we now have no water. We have called around and am finding it impossible to get someone out here on a Sat. night (holiday weekend). Bah, humbug! |

Lynn, post pics, please? I love looking at your stuff.
And to everyone with migraines. The weather is just fixing to change here, and I'm trying to hurry and get errands done before I start to feel headachy. |

| | Looks great! My daughter just bought one in a very nice community. The place has two swimming pools exclusive for residents. It's on Lake Lewisville with hiking trails, basketball courts and a nice club house. |

| | Melanie, it looks lovely! What a wonderful tub -do you pay for water or is it included in your monthly rent?

| | Water will be on our own, but the garbage and sewer are included in the lot rent. All electric, so we get to drop the gas company. Although I do worry about the possibility of losing heat if the power goes out in the middle of winter!

| | Oh - and it's less than 4 (very easy to drive) miles from DH's work - he can come eat lunch at home with us if he wants!

| | Melanie, the new place looks great! Very airy and open. Is it a done deal then??? 4 miles to work...DH has a great thing going there!! He's gonna love coming home for lunch.
Since Cindy requested, here's a few shots of the necklace I made today. It's sterling silver with Adventurine (from Thailand), pearls and Bali silver. The clasp is in the front...actually, you could take the centerpiece off and just wear the beaded part alone if you wanted.
It was actually quite the bear to photo. I'm not convinced these are the best I can do, but they'll do for now.

| | Oooooooo..... not my colors, but wow, that's pretty!
Not a totally done deal -they've got some kind of legal/financial thing going on where they've got to petition the court for permission to sell. I don't think it's bankruptcy, but maybe some kind of garnishment situation. I didn't want to pry. But their lawyer said it's very rare to get turned down.
