...um, what do I use this for? it's really cool, but I'm trying to figure out practical applications, like how I would use it to redo my living room.

Well, I can see website applications - if you wanted to design a page around a particular picture. Or you could use it with home design, print out the color swatches and use them to find individual items to pick up the colors you want.

Let's say you had a throw pillow or a couch that you wanted to build a decor around. Scan that (or supply a photo) and you'll get colors that will go well with it.

I needed this when I was picking out paint.
Luckily I did well on my own doing it the old fashioned way. I stood there with the swatches and saw what looked ok in the hardest to decorate room: the bathroom. I have a terrible 1980s vanity in there with yellows and light peaches and beiges... yuck. Once I found a color there, I found one for the livingroom/dining room and made sure it would still look ok with the bathroom color, and the existing kitchen color. Then I found a color for the bedroom the same way, and made sure ALL the colors looked ok near eachother. |

I guess it could work, but to take a printout to the paint store would require a good printer, no? My printer = cheap piece of doo-doo
